Taking photos is about capturing the moment as is, not by doctoring up the photo on a computer to make it look artificial.

And your problem is.........?

that tribe of people called Most seem to cause a lot comments - maybe because they seem to have all the fun. They get up to all sorts of mischief too...Joe average is 'most people'. perhaps you mean those other tribes called Some,Few, Those and SadlyThem (or is it ThemSadly)

got to think that by now nearly everything has been photographed at least once....it would be odd to imagine someone managing to get an 'actual first' rather than merely a 'personal first'. (new invention/technology aside)

don't think for one sec. that film shooters are so much more caring than
digital shooters it's all about money . if film was the cost of digital per shot
there would be a lot more film shooters out there .think about it if you could see your final result on film and erase the ones you dident like and shoot them over again , on the same roll of film hundereds of times . would you have given up your f5 or your f3hp .
You must be cheap.

PEOPLE USING DIGITAL TEND TO SNAP PICTURES OF ANYTHING THEY SEE AS FILM PHOTOGRAPHERS THINK AND COMPOSE A PICTURE BEFORE THEY SHOOT.

Nikon af 85mm f/1.8D,Nikon 105mm f/2.8 micro ais, Nikon af 135mm f/2.0 DC. These are all very good portrait lenses. Price wise the 85mm is the cheaper one.

I have owned some high end Nikon and Canon cameras and vacillate between them on which has the better IQ.

Light and lens has as much to do with it as does the sensor. The images are slightly different and both are capable of excellence.

The Canon top of the line lenses seem sharper than the Nikon equivalents, but there is much more to a lens than sharpness. That is not to say that Nikon lenses are not sharp.

I prefer the Nikon bodies over Canon because they have more adjustments and most have built in flashes. The Nikon flash system is as good as it gets.

When it comes to resale value both brands rank among the best.

Buy a 35mm film slr and you will get much better results. You can always scan or have them put on a cd.

You are correct but does it really matter. So many people take excellent photos and don't have a clue about angle of view, depth of field, etc..

See this guy knows what he is talking about.
 Give him credit for knowing his stuff.   End of effective focal length discussion!!!!!!!! :-) :-) :-)
