I think you're better off going to one of the seemingly hundreds of new Medi-Quick facilities, perhaps even if you have to wait until the next morning.

Four weeks ago the wife and I had a god awful horrific 14 hour experience at the ER. The day after the ice storm we were out and about, roads and walkways were very clear except for an occasional small icy spot. Unfortunately as the wife was getting in the car she found a spot about 12" in diameter and went down hard on her right shoulder. On a scale of 1 - 10, her pain level was 50. I took her to the ER which was less than 1/2 mile away. After about 30 minutes they took her for an x-ray and brought her back to the waiting room. They said her Humerus was completely fractured. After five more hours of excruciating pain they brought her back to an exam room. After several examinations, questions, more x-rays, finally some Hydro's and a sling (put on incorrectly) 9 hours later they sent us home and advised we should follow up with an ortho doctor.

I thought it might have been better if we'd called an ambulance, not true. Four people came in by ambulance after us (two complaining of chest pain), yet they didn't get to an exam room until after my wife. One of the chest pain patients ended up in the room beside my wife 3 hours after her. It was late at night and cold and the waiting room was overflowing with people complaining of seemingly non emergency issues such as a rash on his calf or 3 women with a nauseous tummy. Not to get political but this looked like a preview of free health care.
I think you're better off going to one of the seem... (show quote)

You should know there is no such thing as "Free Healthcare" it's just how it is paid for before or after.

People complain about the government having information about them, yet they are willing to give facebook and other social media accounts a day-to-day description of what they are doing. Cute story and afraid oh so true.

If I was that way inclined I could make a fortune out of robbing the houses of those people who tell where and for how long the are going on vacation. They may as well say the key is under the mat.

Fell in a mud puddle with my Olympus OMD EM1.2 and 12-40mm pro lens, when I got back home I hosed them off with clean water wiped down with a dry cloth still working after a year. I guess the weather seals work.

My Olympus OMD EM1.2 got covered in mud and I washed it off with a hose, survived that no problem. Don't know about other cameras but I wouldn't do that to my Sony A7R2 it's too much like a film camera.

Unlike some, you have shown that you not only care about yourself, but you also care about your fellow man. Unless there are medical reasons, I will never understand the reluctance of some to do the same as you. We are fighting two pandemics here Covid19 and stupidity and stupidity is the toughest fight of all.

Let darwin take care of stupidity.

I bought the Sony a7RII so I could use all of my old canon FD lenses. I had a lot invested in canon lenses, screw canon for not providing a path forward. It's almost like using film again except no messy chemicals.

I think it's more due to distracted driving. Most new cars now have fancy center console for radio, audio, etc. I think people get distracted using them.

Yep I had a loan car while mine was having some work done. I was glad to give it back I just got anoyed with all of those added safety features waning me that there was a car on my left and on my right and warning me I was too close to the car in front! I've been driving for sixty years and not been the cause of any accident but all this uncalled for technology for the people who never learned to drive properly in the first place.

BTW have no place in my life for self driving cars.

The way remember it was that I either put kodachrome or tri-x in the camera and it always looked the same through the viewfinder. It was only when it was processed that there was a differnce. Of course you look at the scene differently for each film. That is what I still do.

On second thoughts I've had a good life, no regrets, I could have done somethings better and some things I could have done that I didn't. Now I could use that youthful body to continue on for another 70~ years, I've not done nearly enough. I've not nearly done one of my bucket list and I've not finished writing it!
