Oh, how lovely and serene. When I considered design school, my 1st choice was landscape design. But the school was just too far away so I chose graphic design. Not disappointed...I learned a lot...especially the fundamentals of photography. Most of my work centers around beautiful gardens and landscapes.
Trust me, I am aware of the changing neighborhoods. You just have to find beauty wherever you are. I took this from my bedroom window facing a blighted eye sore of a burned house next door. I call it "Beauty in the Blight."
Gosh...we are kindred spirits. Love your work.
I love this effect. I am an amateur photographer but I've been a charcoal/ pencil artist forever. I like to use filters and blend modes to take my not so good photos and make them a work of art.
Good job.
The detail on the wings of the dragonfly was pretty awesome. Great shot!
Enjoy. thanks for your interest.
I love it! I am an amateur photographer but I've been a charcoal artist forever, it seems. I use filters and blend modes to turn my not so good photos into works of art. I like your style.

I really like your first image the way you are sucked in by the perspective! Nice composition!
Novice here. Trying to learn how to give it visual interest as opposed to point and shoot. That's why I like the contests. it challenges me in a way I never thought about before. I'm gonna get the hang of this yet!
Here are two of my favorites, taken at the same park, different seasons.
I know you were pleasantly surprised to see this once you had it on the computer. I've discovered some nice surprises as well, things you just don't see until editing time. Anyway, thought I'd enhance it just a bit, for fun. Great shot.
Incredible detail! I want a lens like that...sigh.
Couldn't resist. I love designing book covers in Photoshop. i used two Topaz filters to bring the color and detail out, took out the hedge, cropped the right side to make it more of a standard book size (10x8). I thought the cloudy sky was a bit too busy for a title, so I used a nice script in white that stands out against the green. So this is how it could look.
What detail on the wings. Pretty good photo.
Hello fellow Detroiter! I so wanted to photograph this storm as well but got preoccupied just trying to drive home safely. Then got home and had no power. So I missed the opportunity. Great shot though!
