Good effect.
Are they supposed to be Tarleton's Green Dragoons or some other unit?

Thank you Sirius. It's an interesting way to represent something from an older time.

Thanks Jerry. Interestingly enough, Tarleton's Legion and Lighthorse Harry Lee's Legion both wore green jackets. If you speak to the cavalry reenactors though, they can always get a Tarleton uniform, but not a Lee. I don't know what the differences are, but evidently they're subtle. At the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, both Tarleton and Lee were in attendance, but fought in different parts of the battlefield. This particular reenactment was to depict a "side war" that Henry Lee fought ....... so, this is probably Lee's regiment dressed in Tarleton uniforms.

Confusing, I know.

But the difference between cavalry and Calvery is easy to understand.

Yep OddJobber, that has always driven me crazy when folks use one for the other, but I "believe" the hill outside Jerusalem is spelled Calvary, so it's understandably close.

No harm, no foul. I've done it myself in my wild youth.

About as bad as the early days of the Civil War. Militia uniforms, north and south tended to be gray, but some units wore blue to look like regulars.
I have read that at 1st Bull Run/Manassas the first two regiments to engage as massed units were both called the 1st Maryland and the Union regiment was in militia gray while the confederate regiment was in blue.
