Go with the Sigma, great lens.

I have the 150- 600 sport lens, 150 2.8 Macro, 50 1.4 and they are all excellent lenses. I also have the Sigma 1.4 teleconverter which is great too. I shoot Nicon 850, 500 and Z7 all great cameras.

You could buy my unused Lee filter system, if interested. The holder to the lens hood just never fit my shooting style. It's too much equipment for me, where a screw-in ND filter or 2 is much more efficient. If interested, let me know and I'll list out the various filters I have in the Lee system with a 'price to sell'.

What do you have and what do you want for them?

I have a need for 72mm, 77mm and 82mm.

I am looking for a filter system, but do not want to spend as much as it cost on a LEE filter system. Are there others that are decent but not that expensive. I have seen the K&F system, but do not know anything about them.

I am looking at photographing some waterfalls and that is why I am interested in this.

I would appreciate any input you can give me.

Thanks

I read a post in this forum of new Z lenses coming from Nikon in 2021. I shoot with a Nikon Z6 and have three Z lenses at present; 14-30, 24-70 and 85 (the latter which is stupendous).
I miss my macro from my DSLR days and am anxious to get 'back in the game'. It's the close focusing that I love about the macro. I don't do bugs and stuff. I will acquire a macro but am not certain of the focal length. On my DSLR I had the Tamron f/2.8 90 mm. I used a crop sensor camera and therefore my lens converted to 135mm. Since I never used that lens for anything but close up and photographing my wife's art work (maximum distance was 6 feet), the reach was not used. A long introduction to my query:
If Nikon releases both a 60mm and a 90mm, what are the factors to consider with respect to the focal length most appropriate for me?
Thank you

Take a look at the Sigma 150, F2.8 macro lens. A great lens.

Seems like the D850 is on back order everywhere I have looked. I wonder why? Good luck with your decision.

I just purchased a D850 from B&H. They were sold out for a few weeks but just got some in and I have already received mine. Great camera.

I have had the Z7 for over a year and it is also a Great camera.

My friend is interested in purchasing a photo scanner. He is looking at the Epson V600 that cost $219.00. Does any one have any experience with this scanner or can you recommend a different one that you know is a good photo scanner? Thank You

Hi there.
Looking for some information on which brand
Lens is better.
The Tamron or Sigma.
The lens I'm looking for is the 70 to 200mm F/2.8.
Thank you all in advance.

I just purchased the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 sport lens from B&H. It is an excellent lens. Love the focus speed and sharpness. I have no experience with the Tamron so I cannot say how it is compared to my Sigma. But I am very pleased that I purchased the Sigma. Good Luck!

I have a Nikon 70-200 2.8 lens that has decided to stop autofocusing. Tried it on both my cameras and it just will not autofocus. All other lenses autofocus just fine.

Looking for a reputable Nikon service company to get it repaired.

I have found APS in Morton Grove Illinois. Does anyone have any experience with them or have a different repair place that you recommend?

Appreciate any help I can get.

Also, it is the 70 - 200 2.8 VR lens over 10 years old. Is it worth repairing? How is the Tamron or Sigma 70 - 200 2.8 lens?

Thanks

The Nikon teleconverter will not improve the image on your Sigma, it can only degrade it. Same with the Sigma teleconverter.
There has not been a teleconverter yet made that improves image quality.
I strongly suggest you work on getting closer to your pray. Also get a cropped sensor camera that will basically do the same thing. And if you have a cropped sensor camera then you really need to work on getting closer to your pray.
Any teleconverter will darken your image and cause your auto focus to slow down. Never a good thing.
Most teleconverters work best on Prime fast lenses like a 300 2.8, 500 4, 600 4, they work next best on fast zooms like the 200-400 4, or 70-200 2.8, they work WORST on slow zooms like a 200-500 and a 150-600.
TIMHO.

It will not fit. Get yourself a Sigma 1.4 teleconverter. B&H has very good used ones for around $160.00

That is what I thought, thanks

Wondering if the Nikon 1.4 teleconverter is compatible with the Sigma 150- 600 Sport lens? I looked at the compatible list on Nikon, but it only lists Nikon lenses. I know the Sigma 1.4 is compatible with the sport lens, but I do not know about the Nikon teleconverter. Can you help?
Thanks
