I am looking for a good vantage point to capture the Milky Way early tomorrow morning in South Tucson, AZ. I am located just off I-10 near the Pima County Fair Grounds and wondering if anyone has shot the MW in this area. It will appear in the SE around 4:00 am, but will not be high in the sky, so mountains could pose an issue. If any of you have experience in this area, it would sure help and be most appreciated. TIA!

Working our way West, tomorrow we head to Sedona. Obviously, Cathedral Rock is on the list…will be there 3 days…what else should I add to the list?

TIA

We are in Ft Worth on the beginning of our two month Southwest photo tour and wanted to know what locations are best for night photography. Obviously the Stockyards(was planning on a 4 AM shoot there to avoid the people), the Tarrant County courthouse at the blue hour, and the Seventh Street bridge to name a few. For those of you who have captured various locations here, do you have any vantage points that you prefer? What have I missed?

AND most importantly, who has the BEST BBQ in town?!

TIA

We are taking two months starting around Christmas to do a photo tour of the SW. Our route will take us from Northern AL through MS and LA into Ft. Worth for Christmas Eve and day. From there we will head to the SE part of NM - spend a week or so in western and southwestern NM(I have already captured the central and northwest part of the state). Next on the list is AZ and Page. I want to capture Antelope Canyon, but since they no longer allow photo tours is Canyon X a viable and worthy alternative since you can book a guide and use a tripod? The You Tube videos I have watched(at least the ones by and for photographers) are not high on the Lower and Upper Canyons. Since we will be there around the mod to latter part of January, the crowds will be smaller but input from those of you who have photographed that area would be most appreciated.
Any other "do not miss" locations are also welcomed.

Thanks so much in advance...this community is always so helpful and gracious.

We are staying in Door County for a week with plans on photographing all of the lighthouses and anything else that is worthy. Any recommendations as to the best vantage points or time of day to capture this beautiful peninsula? TIA

We are getting a Class B RV early next year to primarily use for remote landscape photography in North America. Being new to the RV world are there any good resources or books on planning trips(where you can and can’t stay etc.) that you would recommend to accelerate the learning curve?

I will be spending four days on Kiawah Island as I trek up the eastern seaboard photographing various sites and lighthouses early next month. Obviously, Charleston, SC is a gem unto itself. From a photographers standpoint what are the "do not miss" locations or sites in the city. I understand that there are numerous walking tours that cover different parts of the city, but any "inside baseball" tips you can provide will be appreciated.

I will take the US 17 or 13 routes and I do not mind getting off the route at all.

I am thinking of driving up the coast from Charleston, SC to Chincoteague Island, Va this October to shoot lighthouses and spend the days antiquing or playing on the beach when I am not focused on shooting. What are some little known "non-touristy" spots that I may have missed when googling things to do in this area. Last October was spent on the coast of Maine photographing over 25 lighthouses up there and that entire coastline is just fabulous.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. The lighthouse is West Quoddy in Lubec, Maine.

I am headed to Norway later in February to shoot the northern lights for 10 days and will be arriving in Oslo a couple of days early. Any recommendations on locations, landmarks, or things "not to miss" while I am there waiting to head to Lofoten?
