We are in Ft Worth on the beginning of our two month Southwest photo tour and wanted to know what locations are best for night photography. Obviously the Stockyards(was planning on a 4 AM shoot there to avoid the people), the Tarrant County courthouse at the blue hour, and the Seventh Street bridge to name a few. For those of you who have captured various locations here, do you have any vantage points that you prefer? What have I missed?
AND most importantly, who has the BEST BBQ in town?!
TIA
The Botanic Garden is not to be missed..day or night...the holiday light display probably is still on. Kimball Art Museum (among many fab museums) for its amazing architecture both in and outside.
Check trip advisor for bbque. We have split decisions in our household

I wouldn’t completely ‘avoid the people’; they can be part of the scene.
One of the best BBQ restraints in North Texas is "Angelo's Bar-B-Que" located at 2533 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107. This is NOT a fancy place but the BBQ is great. They only serve ribs after 5pm. Their chopped beef is great as is their brisket. I like their baby-back ribs and finish with a chopped beef sandwich to go. It's not that far from the Botanic Gardens. Make it a day at the gardens and then finish the day at Angelo's. You won't be disappointed. Great pictures from the gardens and great BBQ; what more could you ask for. The other places you mentioned are all good but you don't want to miss the Botanic Gardens and Angelo's BBQ.
Don't miss the Fort Worth Water Garden, it is awesome! It's where they filmed the closing scene of Logan's Run movie.
Forget the BBQ - drive up to Roanoke and dine at the original Babe’s Chicken Dinner house! Best you’ll find anywhere, served up family style!
