Sales pitch is accurate. I like it alot but as is said, don't go to extremes. That said, my Fuji X-E3 produces wonderful photos and I do not rely on Aurora HDR but do use it.

I have one of Gary's that fits in the flash shoe and covers the pop up flash on my Pentax K5-IIs. Works great for my home portraits during Christmas, etc. Otherwise, I will use my Metz on the Pentax or as slave to my Fuji X-E3 (don't think it will work in the shoe.)

I am running Luminar 4 on a 27” iMac late 2013 model with 32 gig ram and 3 T hard drive. Luminar 4 runs much better and faster than 3 on my setup. It isn’t lightning fast but my computer is “old” in computer years. Version 3 was prone to crashing. Version 4 has only crashed once and I have been using it intensively since upgrading. I find the layout for editing tools much better. I have used the sky replacement to fill in washed out skies in pictures with limited amounts of sky area rather than replacing large areas of sky and the results are good. I did move all of my pictures to a single external drive, 1.8 T worth, and am not sure if having all data on one drive verses two is a speed factor or not.

Exactly the same as my system but for my external 4TB hard drive with 30,000 photos. I have no problems and it seems faster. I am using a test 'folder' of about 100 photos for now. I will possibly see an initial slow start once I initially add my main folder of photos. But should load faster after that. L3 was alwasy slow to startup.

I shot with Pentax and a canon dial 35 while in the Navy. Then with Pentax MX, Pentax K5IIs, and now mostly with a Fuji X-E3,18-55mm. My Pentax is in the closet; why? I always shot with Fuji film so it is a natural progression to the X-E3. I still use the Pentax with the Soligor 80-200 for reach or the 10mm for wide angle. But not so much anymore. Thinking of selling the Pentax and lenses for new Fuji glass. Never will get rid of the Dial 35 tho. Cute camera.

@burkphoto, great information I never knew for photos. I used to spray my watercolor art well after it dried.

I "think" I recall an opening window that asked if I wanted the editor or the organizer. After a couple of openings, I noticed the box that said "make default" or some-such. So the organizer is invisible to me aside from taking up HD space. I merely click on the icon in my taskbar to open PSE editor.

I like the free FastStone Image Viewer to browse the pics prior to selecting one to edit in PSE:

Expanding on my earlier comments about Windows File Management, in case the OP wants to stop the merry-go-round of frustration and try something different:

I sort photo folders by year, month within that year, date, short description. For example
2017
June
6-10
eagles

The drawback is there are no keywords from which I can pull up all eagles from all years. Some people may want to do a yearly "favorites" folder also.

Yesterday I got an email from Adobe telling me about their new pricing structure: Get Adobe Lightroom for $9.99 per month, or Photoshop, Lightroom, and Bridge for $99.99 per year, Now go figure that.

Waiting for my email!

I have 'flap' id holder that holds the id in a plastic holder and the 'flap' has a magnet that goes into a pocket and magnetizes to the front 'flap'. I see them on police shows where they are looped on the officers belt or pants. Lanyards are still used at trade shows and sporting events. Even my camera club uses them (although I frequently forget it on the kitchen table).

Thanks, David. FL as of 2016- today: (crop lens)

100mm: 211
50-55mm: 2276
43mm: 117
38mm: 113
34-36mm: 250
29mm: 115
26-28mm: 286
17-18mm: 3373
10mm: 45

So, for primes, it would look like:
18mm, 27mm, 35mm, 50mm

Or just stay with the 18-55!

SATS: Thanks for the in depth reply. I have indeed marked my 18-55 where 27 would be; the 23 is already marked. Thanks for the links. Now I have something to base solutions on. I remember somewhere in my past life that the human eye is about 41mm (FF) and the 27 is very close to that. Or, maybe I mis-remember...

Not trying to answer your question, as I’m in the same boat.

Thanks Doc, I like the smallness and the lightweight of the X-E3 or I would have gone with the Xpro2. I maybe even consider a Xpro3 or x-E4 in the future (if they arrive). I like the jpegs and raw files Fuji produces. I still have my Pentax K5-IIs but hardly use it anymore. Bring retired means that price also enters the picture. I find that my Metz 52 acts as a great slave flash (it will not attach) to my Fuji. So I will always keep that!
