Thank you so much for replying. I have honestly used this effect millions of times and I knew it must be something stupid I was doing!!! Made foreground color not white, do not think that was it, put size at very very very large, and clicked inside. I thought I had clicked inside, center, and outside when I was hitting everything I could think of. I think you solved it, it must have been not on inside, as I now got a giant not white frame. It worked. Thank you so much for the help. I appreciate it.
I have been making frames forever by choosing select all and then edit>stroke and walla a frame goes around the picture after the color is chosen and px and then ok. All of a sudden I choose select all (marching ants appear on edges of pic) and then I choose edit>stroke (it is available) but nothing happens!!!!!!!!!! I have clicked everything imaginable, inc outside, inside, etc to no avail. I know it is prob a simple fix, but I will be darned if I can figure it out!!! Any ideas out there?????????
I just got my new D7000 in the mail, does that mean my shots will now all look as good as these?????? That is when I can figure out how to use it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My next post is going to be also, that I have too many frames. Hit the thrift shop today and went crazy!! It was fun.
I have gotten so many good ideas here, thanks all!!!
So many great ideas, cannot wait to go out and try them, like Ikea, thrift shops, and $ stores. I have been able to find some at the flea market too.
Thanks for all the ideas.
Someone posted a ques. What do we do with all our photos. There were many good ideas, and it really spurred me on to frame some of my better pics and enjoy them rather than just have them on Cds or external hard drives.
My question is, now that I am trying to frame some of my photos, I am finding that frames are pretty expensive. Hit a couple sales at Jo Anns and Michaels, but am wondering where everyone gets their frames???? Any ideas for cheaper frames. I am not into building my own!!! Well, maybe I could if I knew how!!!! Costco does a fairly good print for 13cents and I want to give some pics away, but do not want to spend a ton of $$$$$ just on frames.
Thanks for any ideas you might have.
Well, that is a good question!! I just thought they were shot, do not know if I finalized or what I did as started them way back in 2000 when I first went digital and I was very dumb then about what I was doing!!! Probably still am, maybe a drop smarter by reading UH!!!
I do store them properly according to your reply, thanks.
What exactly do you mean by CDs being properly stored. I have backups of all my pics on CD (as well as 2 externals) I am curious as to what you mean by that. What do I need to do? I even started making double copies of the CDs as I read that they do not last forever. I found 3 of my originals to already be corrupt, thank goodness the 3 were of the group I had started to make copies. They were all the b same brand CD. so just threw out the rest of that unused box!! (sorry if this posts 2xs not sure if I clicked send)

The photo ops are endless here on the west coast. Wherever you go you will find something to photograph. I will be leaving for Daytona for the week or you would be welcome to spend a night or so with us in Clearwater.

I have millions of pics, well lots of them anyway. I started in 2000 with digital and saved them on CDs. I have since learned that CDs do not last forever so have just finished copying them all on to an external hard drive (all 60 CDs) Now that I have started photoshop elements I have tons more pics and it is very time consuming finding a place for them, keeping track, and saving.
I also share a lot on Face book. It is fun to sometimes get comments. Also post them on the Photoshop elements forum and get constructive comments. It is really funny to see some of the pics I saved in the old yrs. What was I thinking!!!!!!!????
I am lazy about framing, I have good intentions but hardly do it!!!!
Thanks for all the help now I have my work cut out for me!!!!!!
Looking forward to getting and using brushes.....
Thanks for the reply, I looked at the video for a min and looks like it is installing them into Elements. I would like to, if possible, install them into their own file not in elements.
I will look at the video again more carefully, it looks like an easy video to understand.
Where do I find brushes that are free and inexpensive? Looking for cloud brushes, but sure I will go crazy with brushes once I learn how to do this. The captions are really strange on the video so will take me some time to understand it!!!!
Hi, I have been lurking in here for a while absorbing all of your expertise. My questions about brushes are:
1. I thought I read that there are cloud brushes out there someplace. How do I find a cloud brush for free or inexpensive?
1. Ok now that I have found it, I hope, how do I get it? I use Photoshopelements #10 and read somewhere not to clog it up with brushes, but to open a new folder for the new brushes outside of elements and get them from there. That is what I would like to do. In simple terms please, if you can help me.
I know I have to download them, but what are the steps? Like A. do this, B. etc Thanks in advance.
