Wonderful how we can track packages these days! I'm a pro videographer, semi-pro still photographer who wanted to expand company and looking for quality video images. Chose video cam over dslr. I know the trend is depth of field manipulation. Chose Sony Pxw X180 partly because of innovative variable neutral density filter providing ability to open iris more. Expevt package this afternoon.

Here on Kaua`i it is quite popular for coordinator to hire amateur photog for wedding using the couples camera. While I was shooting their video I have seen the camera run out of battery and/or memory card during ceremony. I have seen videos shot by amateurs using camera mic into wind and surf and you know what that gets you.

Be careful with equipment and personal gear. Even in Hawai`i there are not so honorable folk. Lots of car break-ins and some condo looking.

Agree with doing an effect but also could show just say 10 seconds of the father and then insert stills of the event over the visual part, keeping the audio.

I live on Kaua`i, have done video productions for 17 years, photo for 2. Shipping here is an adventure when it comes to costs. For small items sometimes shipping more than the item. Vid cam & a few accessories sometimes $200. But love B&H, hate the next credit card bill.

Thank you for your suggestions. The batts have been well taken care of, but I think once I had in my pocket and maybe got a little wet with a rain. I understand btts have limited warranty but Nikon still was not very understanding. It is made in Japan, further processed in China. I will get a third party to replace it.

Got my 7000 a year ago with 2 En 15 batts. Moderate and equal use of both. Suddenly one showed usage of "4", tried charge/discharge a few times but to no avail. Other batt says age "0" still. Checked serial number and not in the recall batch. Nikon basically says, oh well. Any suggestions appreciated.

I live in Hawai`i - it's a challenge getting stuff from mainland, esp east coast. Sometimes shipping more than the item.

I live on Kaua`i, have ordered video equipment from B&H for 16 years and now still equipment. Three years ago was in NYC just walking around. Came across B&H, the Meca, thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Called my friend back on kaua`i.

Done pro video for 16 years. Sound is definitely one of the pros to videotape. A still of a wedding kiss is beautiful - a video with audio of the "smack' and the bride letting out a sound of pleasure is priceless.

For in the car, in the street, hard cases are good. I have traveled on many planes with videocameras and hard cases and would never ship a cam or lens (if possible) with an airline. Even in a hard case/padded, the abuse luggage takes can affect equipment.

I just had 2 older Macs fatally crash, hd's ok. Got an I-mac for video/photo editing and a mini-mac for home. Both older computers had software upgrades as high as the processor could handle. So now having to jump upgrades/drivers on both has taken two days. An Epson printer I bought in November does not have drivers yet. We are definitely on a merry-go-round with hard/software.

Sixteen years of pro video and I purchased a Nikon D7000 last month. Read manual and watched a tutorial dvd several times. Learned a lot but always so much more to know. Have had cam in my hands every day, shot almost 3000 pics and really trying to stay off auto. My first public shoot picture.
