As an old aviator, I enjoyed this very much. Joe
Makes me want to go back to ENP again. Very nice! Joe
When you go to the Columbia River Gorge, take a tripod. The light is subdued in the Gorge and the side canyons with water falls.Try to keep most of the sky out of the pics, because it will be overexposed. It's probably been 30 years since I was there, so my memory may not be serving me well. Enjoy, it's beautiful. Joe
The local weather man call the rays "Crepuscular" rays. I'm sure you wanted to know that. Tee Hee. I like cloud pics too. Joe in S. AL

Rene: It's my understanding that the 60D has a metal chassis and the T3i has a "plastic" chassis. I have the T3i and like it. Joe in AL
Good work. Great way to spend some time and energy. Joe in AL
Really like the first one. I was really saddened to see the other. I like rural and remote. That's just me. Joe in AL.
I like all three. Number one for the painterly look,,number three for the oriental look,(however I would have liked to see all the fan,,Maybe). Number two is my least favorite, but still very nice. Joe in AL
I have had very good experiences with "Rob's Camera" in Pensacola, FL.
Somehow, this tree was blown down, pushed over, or somehow laid on the ground without damaging the roots. Consequently it kept growing. The uprights are limbs. Comment?Joe in AL
You can also crop your images with the mat.
I agree about cropping. I do my own mats and cut them to fit the image and the frame. Mat cutting is not difficult. Mat cutters can be expensive, though. I have a 3-M mat cutter that I no longer use, but shipping is prohibitive. I would recommend that you buy one on-line or at a local art supply store. Good luck,,, Joe in AL
I like the Pentax spotmatic for precise metering in scenes, For instance, a white bird against a dark background. Gossen meters are very good too. Good shooting,, Joe
The Pentax is a one degree spot meter.
