John: This is a great shot, something I always wanted to do, but with my present camera, this sort of thing is impossible. I really like the video especially with the planes and shooting stars crossing the screen. I would like to ask a few questions if I might.
1) Does the Milky way look like this with the un aided eye, or do you only see it like this after the photo is taken? I have watch the night skies for a long time but never seen the Milky Way like this.
2) You took 220 photos as 20 second exposures. Does you camera do all of these pictures automatically or do you stand there and press the shutter release 220 times?
Thanks for posting this great photo for all to see,
Steve
I have never shot flowers in black and white, but this is really neat. I will have to give this a try in my travels.
Thanks for posting

Marsha: Many thanks for sharing these fine shots. I have to admit that I am jealous. I want to see the lights so badly, but every time we get chance, it is foggy or overcast. Maybe next time.
Steve
CliffC: Both are great shots. I also prefer the second photo the best. Just something about the lighting that really adds to it.
Thanks for posting

Samuraiz: Awesome shot. The EXIF says it was a 136 second exposure. Considering you only had one chance at this shot, I would say you were really talented or just plain lucky. You can actually see the big dipper in the stars. Neat addition.
Great shot and thanks for posting it.

sailorsmom, moose19: Thanks for the nice comments.
Sailorsmom: It was light and fluffy here as well. I have a little clean up to do before I head off to work. Time to get at it. 4:40 am and heading out doors.
Thanks all
Steve
Thanks for the nice comments Brenda, Dontrain and DickC.
Dick: Feel free to send a large truck. I could easily load an 18 wheeler with what fell here today. I just spent 2 1/2 hours cleaning up 3/4 of the driveway. More comoing tonight.
Free of charge for all you want, LOL
Steve
treadwl: That blue with the hint of fog really sets this photo off very nicely. Great photo. Worth getting up early for.
Thanks for posting

Regis, AzPicLady, Daniel Z: Thanks for the nice comments all. Much appreciated.
AzPicLady: Please send some of that 75 degrees my way please. Snowing really hard here now. Don't think there will be too many snow pictures like the ones above today.
Steve
Thanks Blues and Linda for the nice comments. Much appreciated.

I you can get rid of the garbage cans and the car in #3 you'd have a real winner there, Steve.
Joe: You were most correct. It does look better cropped just a bit.
Many thanks for the advise.

Thanks for the nice comments Erv. Much appreciated. More snow coming today to cover up the rest of the leaves.

Thanks for all the great comments folks. Greatly appreciate it. It was a magical morning. I like the flash lit pictures the best of the ones I took that morning. Wish I would have had a nice blue sky for the other pictures I took.
Thanks all
Steve

Right you are Sir. I should have noticed that. I will attempt to crop and re post. There were thousands of pictures to take when it looks like it did that morning. I guess I got to click happy.

Got rid of the car, but now have the floodlights, LOL

All Good but I really like 3... how did you backlight? Very nice effect, thanks for your post!
Don: I have a couple of 150 watt flood lights on the roof of my shed. That was used to light the scene for photo 3.
