I had not bought any house paint in quite some time. Wow! I needed a good quality exterior latex. I settled for paint one step below this one, but the price was still $70/gallon retail.

Yeah, we have a Gambino's here in Lafayette. These days, there are many variations of the basic king cake.

Our many Drive Thru and Drive Thru/Dine In Boiled Crawfish Places are started to open for the season. Regular year around restaurants have them on the menu as well. A little late start this year due to our December weather. Early ones are small, but they get bigger as the season progresses. Yummy.

Thanks for the tip. Facebook also has an Olympus Group. Will look at both of those. I realize UHH is primarily Canon and Nikon followers. I am a Nikon guy - trying to sell several Olympus lenses and a camera for my daughter-in-law.

Greetings from Lafayette in south central Louisiana. It's time for some boiled crawfish! Like lobsters, the crustaceans must be live when put into the boiling pot. The pic is of a table in a local restaurant. A trashcan is placed under the table and a hole in the table center allows easy disposal of the remainder of the crawfish as the tails are removed and peeled for eating.

Sales of precooked and live crawfish for home prep (especially on Fridays) will be brisk during the 40 days of Lent which begins next Wednesday, March 2nd after Mardi Gras day on Tuesday, March 1st.

Laissez les bons temps rouler! (let the good times roll).

Our town has an incredible and interesting variety of houses. If I take pictures of them and then publish, do I need permission from the property owners as I would do for publishing people pictures?

Concerning unintended consequences about photographing your house from the air, google "the Streisand Effect".

Alan,

I removed the set screw and unscrewed the C/FD adapter. I will get a Nikon F bayonet "T" mount.
Your photos are great. Thanks so much for all the detail concerning this f/8 lens.

Now knowing that it is a Canon mount, I did find the appropriate Fotodiox adapter. It has an aperture ring and the Fotodiox literature indicates that the Tokina lens adapted to the Nikon D90 will work in Manual mode; Manual or Aperture mode on the D750.

Thanks for all the assistance.

I was given an old Tokina 500mm RMC mirror lens. Two questions. First, a pic of the mounting end is attached. What lens mount is this one? Second, can I get a relatively inexpensive adapter to mount it on my Nikon cameras (D90 and D750), realizing it has limited utility - all manual settings, etc. Thanks for the help.
