I have had good luck with refurb stuff.
Hi Don, I also purchased Smart Editor....I like it, too.
Really fun to play with.....hundreds of different looks.
When I was a young girl I had a Brownie...then an instamatic and a poloroid. When I got married, I took an occasional family shot.....fast forward several years. My Mom became ill with colon cancer. When she passed away, she left me a small inheritance. I purchased a Canon rebel and when the grief was strong, I would pick it up and go out shooting. I now have a Canon 30D and wishing for a 60D....maybe someday.I have taken classes and learn much from this site and others.
I decided early on when I "took" up photography, that I would not do weddings (have you ever seen Bridezills)?
I have taken some candids at a couple receptions. The only children or baby pics I take is of my own grandchildren.
I know how lucretive it can be, but since I am independantly wealthy....hahaha.
Thanks Nikonian.....I'm not sure I understand it all, but I'm glad I asked. I'll have to study up on it.
I just read a brief article about capturing a snowflake image. Not a lot of info....has anyone here done that?
How was it accomplished?
I also love those closeups of insects eyes, ect. What type
of lens is used for this?
OK...I have a Canon 30D. I usually shoot in raw because I like the fact that I have more controll without loss when it comes to editing. I have been taking a number of bird images of the birds at our feeder. When I bring them up on the computer, some of them come up at 72 resolutions and do not open in raw....some of the others open in raw at 240 resolutions. I do not change any settings in between, anyone have any idea what could be happening? I am using a 300mm lens at 5.6 aperature. Thanks for helping.
Shootr....good to meet another Hoosier. We have lived in Avon since 1999...before that in the Ben Davis area.
Avon has indeed changed....the traffic can get on your last nerve. Have a good evening.
Great capture of our president, Shootr.
Do you live in Danville? I live in Avon.
I was attending a small family reunion. People I hadn't seen in awhile. so naturally, I was taking photos. When I got them home and loaded them on the computer, two or three had orbs in them. In fact, I think I brought up this subject before on this forum, but no one made a comment.
I am not really a believer, but I do have questions about this. No artificial lighting, including flash was used in my photos. Not sure how to load a pic on here or I would show you.
Thanks, Traveler....I'll give that a try.
I just downloaded the trial version of On One software's Photo effects. It installed and opened but before ot could get fully opened a window popped up that said Internet explorer had found some problem and was closing....any idea of what to do? Please and thank you.
I like some of the mags from England. I use to take Outdoor photographer, Pop Photography, but I, too, get tired of all the ads. I know they are necessary, but when it gets to most of it is adds then I don't read.
I wonder, too, if Topaz Adjust may have been used on this.
We are lucky here in Indianapolis. We have Roberts and they are one of the best. I bought my Canon 30D from them....traded my Rebel and a little extra money. The only problem, they are right downtown and I live out here in the burbs....but its worth the trip when I go.
By the way, if you are coming here for the Super Bowl, stop by and see them. They are Meridian St.
