Dunno mate, maybe you're right.

I’m just a country boy who doesn’t have such a sensitive skin that takes offence at an obviously tongue-in-cheek comment about apostrophes. It’s also possible, just possible, that you didn’t notice the grin at the conclusion of my remark . . .

I agree entirely, standards should be more relaxed on an internet message board and I hope that your reply to ‘Stay at home Mum’ was not really a composed dissertation about bats or that you’ve been watching too much David Attenborough. . .

I’m also not so full of my own erudition that it’s blocking my ability to absorb some harmless sledging from a fellow photographer even though a lot of water separates us.

Furthermore, I think you’re in danger of falling off the limb, on which you have just gone out, as you now go on to elicit support for your argument by inviting other happy snappers to get involved.

It’s probably best to terminate this particular thread right now Cholly. ;)

Hey Cholly, I think 10 years in college may have also guided you on the correct use of the apostrophe. :)

Gee Architect, I dunno mate . . .
I guess I was looking at a guy who has the nous to buy a D5200 and a bunch of lenses, subsequently affords to takes his wife on a cruise around the Caribbean and then asks what the hell lens should he include with his friggin’ camera.
Jeeze, are we all a truck-load of mind readers? A D5200 with the 18-200 hanging off the end should be more than adequate for 95% of anything he’s likely to encounter on a boat. If he should stumble across a startling scenario that actually requires the 11-16mm then, like a rat up a drainpipe, he should quickly regret his lack of foresight, resign himself to his hideous fate and forego the opportunity for a once-in-a-lifetime happy snap.

The only thing I'd be concerned about is why this ridiculous question was asked in the first place . . .

Hi Buddy Bob,

Pic look OK to me. . . ! Personally I have a similar situation with the website for my local bowls club. I'm both editor and club photographer and from time to time bowlers ask me for prints of pics I've taken and posted on our website. They're very happy to pay $2.00 for a 6 x 4 or $4.00 for a 10 x 8 - suitably massaged via photshop of course. Does this give you any ideas ? OzJohn
