what is AIR worth???

Why is a Picasso worth more than a KLEE? Why is an original MOZART music chart worth more than both of those??

Why is a sandwich $6 at one location, and $15 at another?

A 'digital' photo of a box of rocks is worthless UNLESS someone needs a photo of a box of rocks. The DIGITAL format description/label means absolutely nothing in terms of value.

the NIKON D780 did not accept a battery grip, like the D750 does.

I have several D750's and when the D780 came out I was itching to get one, due to the improvements, but once I knew there was not external battery/grip I cancelled my order. The battery grip does help balance the body, and the extra battery is always welcome.

If you use a good camera bag, case that is well padded there is no need to take the lens off.

If the turbulence is so extreme that it would affect the lens mounted on a camera you have more problems than just worrying about the camera/lens.

1. YOU DON'T. Anyone who reads "NUDE MODEL WANTED...NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY" will label you a creep, or worse.
2.You want to photograph naked people? OK, first establish yourself as a professional photographer. NO BS, no come on lines. Actual work photographing PEOPLE. When you have a few years of established work photographing people, and can show examples of printed work and test work...then, maybe, you will convince someone to pose for you.
3. Maybe you can convince a friend, a friend of a friend....or someone who just gets off on taking their clothes off for strangers to pose for you. Just be careful you don't come across as a serial killer or rapist since cameras are never allowed in a prison.

Everyone 'adjusts'/modifies their work. It is just assumed some work was done.

Unless the image is being used for evidence, where there can be no adjustments, keep your mouth shut...absolutely no reason to say anything.

The view likes the photo, or doesn't like the photo. Not your problem.

no....never.
never ever.

WHY would you remove the card in the first place, other than for downloading files....and then you would immediately REPLACE it in the camera (or insert another card).

do you go on a car trip and not check the gas in the tank?

from what I've read VENTURA has some major 'issues', mostly with ADOBE/PHOTOSHOP. I have not read about CF cards not ejecting but I believe anything that involves raw files/jpeg/etc files have some major problems from VENTURA.

If you recently purchased your MAC and it came with VENTURA you should be able to install a previous system..if you upgraded from MONTEREY or another MAC OS you should be able to step back to that OS.

contact APPLE or go to an APPLE STORE and speak with one of their floor techs who should be able to instruct you how to replace the OS.

AS OF THIS DATE there is no fix for VENTURA regarding PHOTOSHOP.

SIMILAR PROBLEMS:
I just purchased the EPSON P700 to replace my EPSON 1430 which finally Died (best printer Ever).
I've used EPSON since the mid-90's and love them.

Running the current version of MAC/MONTEREY. Installed drivers, etc and all looked great until I tried printing from PHOTOSHOP. ICC PROFILES for the P700 are not listed, not visible in ColorSync, and the printer wants to print using the default settings and not PHOTOSHOP. WTF???

Long story short: I have contacted EPSON TECH 15 times. UNINSTALLED/REINSTALLED Epson drivers. Tried locating the ICC PROFILES within the Epson prefs..with no luck since they are now within the driver package..contacted ADOBE (who always blame the other software/hardware source).
FINALLY, did a screen share with EPSON tech for two hours...guess what?

They finally admitted that there is a 'bug' in the driver installer. Will it be updated? They don't know when, but they will let their software people 'know'.

Since I use RED RIVER PAPER for my art prints I went to their web site and they have all the ICC PROFILES available for download to be installed in COLORSYNC. Solved the problem by doing that, but EPSON/CANON/HP all need to step up their games.

I actually had to get rid of my EPSON 3880 large format printer since the driver software is out of date, will never be updated and is not recognized by the current OS versions. Sucks.

MAYBE the simple solution is NOT TO USE NikonNX software to process your images, or view them since it creates a new file format.
Do you have Photoshop? Lightroom? ON1? All of them can create a JPEG format image, which is always cross platform (MAC/PC).

It is not APPLE's fault at all. You are selecting a processing application that you KNOW will create its own format. OR, why not install NikonNX on your PC? That installer is available on the NIKON site for Free.

Why you have not tried that is beyond me.

Prior to digital and Photoshop I used HARRISON DIFFUSION FILTERS. they were created for the film/movie industry and were incredible. Optical Glass sandwich with diffusion material between and came in a set of SERIES sizes from 0 to 6 in strength and effect.

Since Digital/Photoshop and 3d party filters those Harrison filters are totally obsolete. Much better control and effects within Photoshop and you have the MASTER IMAGE that is clean and sharp.

(IF you want a set of HARRISON DIFFUSION filters in series 7 and series 9 I'll sell them to you!)

the new version of BRIDGE is buggy, and much slower than the previous version.

I am on MAC and do not have freezes or multiple selections that stay open as you describe, but definitely not as smooth as the previous BRIDGE.

IF you have never actually SEEN a basketball game live....you are in way over your head.
Same goes for if you never shot action, especially indoors.

Save yourself embarrassment and a bad reputation and pass on the opportunity offered.

Rather you say no than either not being able to deliver decent images, or deliver substandard work and that reputation will follow you for years.

EPSON.
no question if you print high quality photos and want consistent results.
Yes,the inks are expensive...but about the same can be said for CANON.

CANON printers, the higher quality ink jets, are notorious for problems.
