Thank you to all who have responded to my inquiry. I appreciate it very much. I'm thinking the Sigma 100-400mm contemporary. Thanks again, all

I'm leaning toward the 100-400mm but not sure if Sigma or Tamron.

We're going to Alaska in May '24. I have a Canon 90D and am curious as to what length lens I should get. My choices are 100-400mm or 150-600. My main concern is the weight of the 150-600mm, around 3.5-4lbs. We won't be doing much walking as we both have mobility issues. I'm looking at Sigma or Tamron lenses. Thanks

Gee, I wonder if I should resurrect my original digital rebel (6 mb) or D-20 (a whopping 20% larger at 8 mb). My favorite for family stuff, which rarely gets enlarged past 4x6 is a Canon G-10, which I bought from a nice lady here on the hog for my granddaughter, who decided that she preferred the convenience of her cell phone.

I wonder if those DSLRs still work...

Still have my old eos rebel 300 from 2003. Works great for me.

After I had bi-lateral cataract surgery (2018) and later laser surgery (2020), my eye sight is 20/15. Reader glasses only. Eveything is crystal clear, sharp and intense color saturation. Biggest draw back is my bathroom mirror. Shows how old I really am, not how young my eyesight suggests. LOL

I'd like to thank all those who have replied to my question. Some very useful information. I'm getting back into analog photography after way to many years of not picking up my cameras. SRT 102 and x370.

I have and use Rebel eos 300d kit bought in 2003. I agree with the above comments. Use and learn what you currently have. Master or at least get fully confident in your abilities then consider upgarding. I tell myself this many times while looking at new cameras. The camera is the tool that takes the picture, the photographer makes/creates photograph.

I agree with all of the above comments. NIB is new in box, period. Take it up with the seller. If not satisfied, return item for full refund, leave a review stating your issues with seller. Next time get clarification of conditition items BEFORE purchasing. Just saying. Good luck.

I had a 7s while in my early years in the Navy, 1967-'74. Took really good pix. Wish I still had it if for no other reason than a conversation piece.
