I was given a sugar cube for polio and a short while later came down with polio. Luckily, it was diagnosed quickly and with treatments and therapy I was ok. I found out years later several people got polio from the cubes.

My first computer was the Commodore 64, then the Commodore 128 and then went to the Commodore Amiga. Years later I purchased my first Mac. Today, I use both a PC and a Mac. There will never be another computer though like the Amiga. It was a special computer for sure.

Those cameras are going to be way too big for me. I will be passing on them.

These are two software programs I would suggest...Affinity Photo and Silky Pix Pro 11. Affinity Photo is less expensive of the two. If you want an-all-in-one program then Silky Pix Pro 11 is darn good.

I have used the G9 for several years now. I shoot both color and in black and white. The G9 evf can be set to see in monochrome when shooting in black and white. This camera has several options for monochrome shooting: 1-shoot in color and in post processing make it into a b&w 2-Use the jpeg setting for black and white, 3-set the settings to shoot in L monochrome (preferred). As you can see, it is quite easy for the G9 to do black and white. You can even use in camera color filters such as yellow, red, green, blue, etc. I think you would find this camera to your liking.

I have had two Pentax K50 cameras that developed the aperture block problem which severely crippled their usage.

I'm currently using Fine Art America, Flickr and EyeEM, happy with all of them,

I like and use Fine Art America too but there is no easy way to download your own images if you need them. SmugMug lets you download easily. FFA is great for selling and displaying your work though.

Shooting in JPEG is nothing to be ashamed of, but do it in private and wash your hands afterwards.

Thanks for the information. I was not aware of that site. I did notice it appears you can only pay using PayPal though.

I went to the sale site and was interested in buying one of their programs.
To purchase, you have to first register with them and must answer questions that could
possibly be used maliciously. Why does a software company require the exact date of my birth,
home address, tel. no., occupation, and more to sell me a program I am paying for and
downloading on the web? Especially because they are offshore and not under USA jurisdiction,
I put my credit card back in my wallet and left the site.
I went to the sale site and was interested in buyi... (show quote)

I have not tried ordering from them but you are correct that seems excessive. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Just curious if anyone is processing images using Silky Pro 11 software? They have a pretty good sale going on right now. If you are using it I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Currently, I still have a K50 with an 18-55 lens I use mainly for landscape shooting. The camera has developed the aperture block problem but is still usable. Have not decided if I will continue with Pentax or not? The new KR looks promising if the defective solenoid has been replaced. My past Pentax cameras included Pentax PZ1-P, K10, K-01 and an older LX. My favorite of all was the PZ1-P film camera. I like my K50 except for the aperture block problem. The K50 could still use AA batteries if needed which was handy.

Xnview MP has a software viewing option. If you use the software for personal use it is free. Does a good job.

I have an Olympus om d m5iii which I use for shooting astrophotography and wildlife, especially birds. It is quite capable for shooting macro and landscapes as well. I like this outfit as it is on the smaller side and is easy to carry afield. Check Olympus website for refurbished lens/cameras as sometimes you can get a real deal. Good luck.
