By the way, if you decide to switch to PayPal (don't know if BnH accepts), they give six months no interest with a minimum payment needed. But the limit on total purchases outstanding is decide by them and only goes up with usage. I tried once to raise my limit, but nothing I could do. I doubt you could get a $6000 starting limit, but that just my guess.

I believe the Amazon card has a no interest or cash back options.

This is a swag, but in many experience many devices which trigger something on or off just ground the device. I think this is how at least some hand remotes for cameras work. If such, you might he able to wire one device to all your cameras/camcorders. The one trigger would fire them all at the same time, again need cables and if far apart probably a huge tripping issue and there also goes the camera.

Warning: I blew circuit boards to pieces trying to do this on an instrument at work.

I tried for the eclipse to set it up. Three cameras, 60Da, 70D and an R, I believe I only got it to work for the R. Camera ranger, old model, 10yrs or more, worked for all, but you need a cable and monitor.

I had nothing but trouble using anything needing Bluetooth. As I remember, sometimes the device did not show up in my Bluetooth list, other times everything showed up in the proper places but never connected. I know Bluetooth has a limited range, but for testing the devices would have had to violate that physics law about two objects not occupying the same space-times coordinates to be any closer.

As I remember, there are nothing but complaints on the web about Camera-Connect.

My first new car was a Ford Torrino, to buy parts you needed to take in the old one to be sure you got the right one! Apparently, they changed things a lot over the year it was made (1970).

You believe you are posting "Raw" images next to your Jpeg's?
Raw file information has to edited by you or by your camera into a viewable format like a Jpeg to be seen...

Your last point about the effect of the program opening the raw file can't be emphasized enough. I have an eclipse image from the 2012 eclipse. Nice image, but there was/is a red band in it due to an internal reflection? It showed up in every program I tried to open the raw file with except with PixInsight. Without any effort on my part to remove the band of red, it just does not appear using PixInsight on the raw image.

PixInsight is a program sold for a astrophotigraphy and at least when I got was a one time purchase. I've never paid for an update in over ten years.

In Germany they used the leaves on Pizza. Also, most of the plants were much taller. I've seen some tall ones here, but not like Germany. I assume all the mowing here has eliminated the genetically taller variety.

I have one scope that requires both the cell and WiFi at the same time for updates, as we have no cell service, I had to take to the doctors office on a visit for my wife. Library might be another choice, but still not convenient.

Apple I believe was talking about using the phone for their now dropped car. Imagine losing access to your car if an update needed a new phone. Most computers are sufficient for at least 10 yrs if purchased new and properly selected, but my experience with device apps is more like half that at best.

I have often wondered how many people who say they can't afford a house, or car, or ?? realize how much money they spend on electronic services and software that just wasn't so in the past.

Another way to save money is sometimes you can make an offer, it will be listed if possible. Also, if you have an account, so they know how to contact you, sometimes a seller will make you an offer on something you've shown interest in.

I have written here about this several times, but where similar issues with computer software vs the computer.

First, nearly all or maybe all, the new small telescopes, Stellena and cousins, Seestar, DwarfII, and others use apps. The Stellena even came out with a new, better app which did not run on android devices the earlier one did run on. Several devices for cameras also use apps.

One solution is to try emulator software on your computer, this sometimes works, but Tue software can suffer the same problem with apps needing the latest ver. of say Android.

The reasons for all this is portability. The scopes are used outside, have limited WiFi or Bluetooth range so dragging a laptop along is somewhat impractical. Also, they can also be controlled by one device, but viewed live (imaging only for some), on several systems at the same time.

The problem is much worse than the similar issue with computers in my experience.

Finally two points:
First, if you have a Kindle you can get Playstore loaded, check the web for instruction.
Second, last time I looked, the ability to use Apps in Windows 11 depends on the Amazon store not Google Playstore.

I finally thought of the emulator: BlueStacks.

I'd also recommend getting distilled water and dunkin, draining, etc. camera several times to remove any acid from the rain. Or at least wash it like the rain did.

You can buy desicant in sealed aluminium containers,, they have dryrite in them and can be heated in an oven to recharge. Bulk dryrite can also be purchased on Amazon. As suggested opening everything, blowing out with clean air or nitrogen from a can, but not from an air compressor unless is has Teflon lined pistons and the air it pressurized is either dry before intake or dried before using at the output. There are also regenerative systems which can take filty, oily air and produce clean air with a dew pt of -90+ F, but those I know of require a big compressor that can constantly supply several cubic feet per minute of 120 psi air and aren't cheap, used to supply dry air to instruments with moisture sensitive components.

I've bought many things from them without issues. I figure by now anyone who wants my info has it. I Mena OPM was hacked, ATT, too many credit cards to remember. I don't put my photo on anything and rarely give details on equipment owned, but otherwise I figure the Chinese, N. Koreans and Russia has everything.

If your computer won't work with win 11 according to the health check program, go to your bios and check for something not turned on that says something about hardware security. Mine failed, but was new, plenty of ram, graphic memory, etc. I looked in the bios, while setting was not the same as named in the Microsoft program, but was related to hardware security, I turned it and all was fine. I know my suggesting is nebulous, but that how is was to me, nebulous.
