Any have you having issues with CameraConnect? It used to work for me, but anymore I can hardly ever get my camera to show up in the app. I connect my phone to the camera’s WiFi and open the app, but I can’t operate the camera from my phone. Any advice on how to solve the problem?

Try uninstalling and installing the latest app download to your phone.

I've given up on Camera Connect. I install app, take one photo, and then can't get it to work again. Uninstall and re-install and same thing. Have tried numerous times in the past. Maybe time to try again with hopefully and upgraded app.

Not a canon owner; but, Snapbridge Is an app for connecting Nikons to your smartphone. Couldn’t get it to work. Was at a camera expo several years ago. A Nikon factory rep. tried for at least 20 minutes with my camera & app and was unsuccessful, too. Doesn’t solve your problem. Just thought I would mention it.

I gave up on it as well when I had the 5D series of cameras. It seems to work pretty well with the R5.

I tried for the eclipse to set it up. Three cameras, 60Da, 70D and an R, I believe I only got it to work for the R. Camera ranger, old model, 10yrs or more, worked for all, but you need a cable and monitor.

I had nothing but trouble using anything needing Bluetooth. As I remember, sometimes the device did not show up in my Bluetooth list, other times everything showed up in the proper places but never connected. I know Bluetooth has a limited range, but for testing the devices would have had to violate that physics law about two objects not occupying the same space-times coordinates to be any closer.

As I remember, there are nothing but complaints on the web about Camera-Connect.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. While doing the setup I learned how to use the app a bit better and now it works great for me. Zero issues

Nate B. How did you learn to use the app better? I uninstalled twice and still couldn't get it to work.

I also couldn't get CC to work despite doing everything. Happen to be at a camera store having a Canon demo day and mentioned this to a Canon rep. He asked to look at my iPhone and after a few minutes handed it back to me saying, it should work now you had one of your iPhone settings wrong. Does CC now work, yep. Was I smart enough to ask him what iPhone setting he was talking about. Rather not answer.

Earlier I always connected via WiFi and it didn’t work well. But now I connect via Bluetooth and then to operate the camera, it automatically switches to WiFi and works great. If your camera has Bluetooth, I recommend you try that

I had a lot of issues with my 7D and a good part of it was a weak wifi in the house. A lot less problems with the R5
and a new house with cable wifi. I like it for wild bird shots in the backyard. I can set up on a tripod and go inside and shoot the birds sitting in my easy chair. lol
