A quick look at the first picture clearly reveals "AF Nikkor" printed on the lens.

Often when your question is "is that an FX lens?" the pics show DX printed on the lens.

What is your point? It is an "AF" lens, as I noted in a reply above. That means it will auto focus with any camera body that has the 'screwdriver' autofocus for driving the lens. There is no motor in the lens for focusing. Not everyone knows what the various Nikon designations mean.

It is an FX lens, although I don't think it is noted anywhere on the lens body. I'm at work right now, or I'd take a look at mine.

Manual focus?

I have the two-ring version of this lens. It uses the 'screwdriver' from the body to focus. It's an 'AF' lens, so is NOT compatible (manual focus only) with D3000, D3100, D3200, D3300, D3400, D5000, D5100, D5200, D5300, D5500, D5600, D40/D40X, D60. For full auto-focus, your camera body must provide the 'drive' to the lens for focusing; there is no motor in the lens itself for the autofocus.

When you crop, use that opportunity to level your horizon and playing field.

That's generally my first step in post-processing. In Lightroom, I'll open the Crop tool and straighten the image. I take mainly hockey photos, so there's generally some reference to use as horizontal or vertical. Then I crop the image as I like. Sometimes I get excited when shooting and tilt the camera!

Great photos. Especially like #3. When I started taking photos of my grandson playing hockey, I got some great advice on here. Keep it tight. You get too many players in the frame then it is hard to focus on where the action is.
Keep shooting and enjoy yourself.

I read an article once that said that the scammers are not really so ignorant on grammar and spelling, but those initial emails are written that way as a way to 'pre-screen' potential victims. If you overlook all the red flags and respond, then they have something to work with. If they made the initial solicitation too 'real', they would end up wasting time with a lot of responses that wouldn't go anywhere.

I use Bulk Rename Utility. It's for Windows and it's free. It will allow you to do just about anything you want with your file names. Inserting a '0' at a specific position is easy. It can use photo EXIF data, too.

I've used the DeNoise AI plug-in for Lightroom some, but I've gone to mostly using it standalone. Lightroom exports as a TIF for the DeNoise, so then I have 2 images in Lightroom, the RAW and the modified TIF. My workflow has kind of evolved to getting everything done in Lightroom, then exporting the images I want to continue with as TIF (those I've rated as a '5'). Then I generally batch process those in DeNoise, many times saving from DeNoise as JPG for saving to my Flickr account. Then I delete the TIF files. If I have the odd file that I want to also run through Topaz Sharpen, I'll save from DeNoise as TIF, then save as JPG after Sharpen is done with it.

That wasn't this happy jumping couple. I scouted out this golf course in advance as they were having their wedding ceremony and reception there. That way I wasted no time between ceremony and reception driving them in a reserved golf cart exactly to where I wanted to make this shot, with my co-shooter taking our portable lighting gear in another reserved golf cart , all worked out in advance. Pre-Planning can save so much stress during hectic shoots. And the bride came prepared ,and changed quickly out of her fancy wedding shoes into her blue sneakers for this shot .
Cheers

I started with a D7000 and the 80-200 f/2.8 lens, then moved to a D7200 for better low light performance. After about a year I bought the D750 I use now. I think you can make your D7500 work, but you'll need a lens that opens up more. The 80-200 f/2.8 I used was good, although I think it focused a little slower than the 70-200 f/2.8 that I have now. The 80-200 lens I have is the 2-ring version (separate rings for focus and zoom). Whatever lens you use, I would recommend investing in Topaz DeNoise, or similar software. The two pictures attached are straight out of Lightroom (I didn't do too much denoise in Lightroom). One was further processed through DeNoise AI in 'automatic' mode, set for severe noise.

This is without any noise processing. D7200 with Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 D AF ED lens. 1/800, f/2.8, ISO 6400, 80mm.

Same file after Topaz DeNoise AI.

This has a max aperture of f/5.6, so I'd say it's not ideal for a hockey arena. If the lighting is VERY good, you might get away with it, although with a very high ISO. I shoot at my grandson's hockey games. I've used the 80-200, and just recently acquired a 70-200, both with max aperture of f/2.8. I generally shoot at 1/1000, f/2.8, and ISO 6400. I run everything through Topaz DeNoise AI afterward to clean up the noise. I'm using a D750.
Some rinks have better lighting than others, so I usually take some photos during warm-up and check the histogram to see if it looks acceptable. I shoot in Manual. I have the focus point set a little above center, as I'm focusing on the heads, usually (back-button focus).

This article says that B&H automatically lists a product as 'discontinued' after it has been out of stock for a period of time. They say the D850 has NOT been discontinued.

I recently was on a Facebook page and someone had commented about a personalized photo that they had purchased showing various photos of the ship and personalized with their name/rate and dates of service. In looking at it, I noticed the photo in the upper left (of the ship in dry dock in France) was one I had taken. I don't know where they got it, and it's not worth pursuing, but I was kind of struck that someone had used my picture for something they were selling.

This is my original photo (scanned from slide).

This is from the Web site that is selling the photos. The photo in the top left sure looks like mine! Slightly cropped and a sky background added.
