I like 8 and 10. When you crop, use that opportunity to level your horizon and playing field. stand back and see if it looks like they are running uphill or downhill (and if the stripes are slanted that way). For instance, I used the sign in the background of this one to level. Compare to your original.

#10 is definitely a keeper. #4 is getting closer to what you want. #8 is ok but you need to stay with the action after a touchdown. That is where you will get some of your best emotion shots. What happened after you took that shot? Did other players run over and hug him? Did they jump into each other? Did the do a helmet bump? It’s natural to drop the camera down after a touch down because the action is over. But don’t, stay with it and you will find that is where you get some really special shots. The best shots maybe a couple of seconds after the one you took here. You won’t always get something good but if you get 1 a game that is good.
You posted these to learn so I am sorry if I am being too honest here. If we tell you these a great shots you will never learn how to make them better. Keep in mind we all started where you are now. From what I see you are taking pretty good shots but with just a little tweaking you can get shots that really stand out. So don’t give up keep working at it you are definitely moving in the right direction. I would suggest you go to Maxpreps online and take a look at those football shots. That will give you a good idea of the types of shots you want. If you do that I can almost guarentee in just a few games you will see a vast improvement in the shots you are getting. Good Luck.

That's generally my first step in post-processing. In Lightroom, I'll open the Crop tool and straighten the image. I take mainly hockey photos, so there's generally some reference to use as horizontal or vertical. Then I crop the image as I like. Sometimes I get excited when shooting and tilt the camera!

Why is the last shot your best. It's close up, probably not much cropping, cleaner image. This is what we should be striving for, closer is so much better in sports photography, ball and faces, excitement, friendship and a photo the guys can look back on in their high school football days.

Scoring the td with a smile is a hang on the wall shot. Your getting there. Curious this shot did you crop a lot? I just looked at it at 100% that's why I am asking. Remember let the action come to you and fill the frame.
