My daughter-in-law gave me a new Tamron 18-270 F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD for Christmas to use on my Nikon D3300. Due to the frigid temperatures I have not had a chance to use it yet. I went to register the 6-warranty on the internet yesterday and was unable to complete the process because I didn't have the original sales slip (proof of purchase) to submit with the paper work. So I called Tamron Customer Service in the New York area this morning and explained that I didn't have the original sales-slip because the lens was a gift. The lady very rudely advised me that I could not register the 6-year lens warranty if I did not submit the original sales slip, regardless if it was a gift or not. I feel very reluctant to ask my daughter-in-law for the sales slip since it was a Christmas gift. The very rude Tamron CS rep said "Sorry, no proof of purchase, no warranty on the lens." I'm very disappointed there is no provision for registering a gift without the original receipt. But I am more disappointed at the rude attitude this CS agent displayed. It's very doubtful I will purchase a Tamron product in the future. Just a word to the wise, if you are buying a Tamron product or receiving one as a gift, you'd better get the original bill of sale or you can forget about their 6-warranty on their products.

Tamron was giving a rebate on lenses, that is why they need a receipt for proof of purchase. I would just register the lens on line or have your daughter in law register the lens in your name for you. Quite a simple fix.

He did nothing illegal. It is a tax loophole that is legal and can be changed. How is someone a scumbag by using a loophole? If you go to your accountant and they tell you if you do this this and this you will be able to write off x amount you wouldn’t do it? Give me break.

They in the past, when you needed something (My printer was down, suddenly) and you tell them they get it out that day. In this case they did not either because the sales person did not push it or they were shipping more expensive stuff. Mine was only $30.00 I got my Canon 17mmTS lens in a day but that was a few years ago. Most stuff like Canon batteries in 2 to 3 days.

What time did you call them? They close at 1:00 pm on Fridays. So not their fault unless you asked for expedited shipping.

Oh no in the middle of printing my Christmas Calendars my Canon Pixma iP 4820 has died. The error message is B200 if that means anything.I have tried unplugging and re-plugging and turning it on and off in the hope the orange light would not flash anymore, but sadly nothing.
If any one has any ideas please let me know.
Also should I be able to afford a new one they all seem to be wireless. My lap top is at least five years old, would I be able to hook up a wireless model.
Thanks in advance.

It is a print head error via a quick Google search. There are some YouTube videos that explain how to fix. As for the laptop being able to hook to the printer wirelessly, you should be able to as long as you have wifi and or bluetooth depends on what tech the printer uses for wireless connection. Most common is wifi.

Hope that helps.

Do you want to see where your SS and Medicare is going via the entitlements that are not supposed to be SS and Medicare but are? Go to your local county court house on any given day and sit in family court and see how many i******s are getting these benefits because they claim they fled from gangs in their country or any other story they can come up with. Then you got the special immigrant juvenile status to stay that the last admin put into place. These cases get rubber stamped and your benefits go to these people. The system is broken. It is quite the eye opener when you see this for yourself.

If the government would stop borrowing from SS they would have money to pay us our SS when we retire. SS was not meant to be the only thing for you to survive on when you retired. Funny thing is that people were against the system being changed and having a savings plan like a 401K put in place of SS.

The government is not supposed to take care of you in the sense of health insurance and retirement. That is up to you.

That 70-300 from Nikon - Specifically - 70-300 MM 1:4.5-6.3G ED VR is a great lens that That I bought separately from my D5600 for about $500 last summer, but is now bundled with the D5600 and 18-55mm for less than $800 ($400 less than 6 months ago). That makes it, now, just a crappy kit lens. Still compare it to the $1200 + Zooms - it is a hobby lens.

Calling something a kit lens is just confusing.

Some of the kit/bundled lenses were at one time the better glass and have been replaced with new designs. This does not mean that they are inferior lenses, it just means that they have been replaced by a lens with with VR, better coatings etc.

That’s exactly what the progressives want....they have been seeding and concentrating on Uber-large urban centers for decades and ignoring rural and flyover areas.

Yet, the popular v**e went to Clinton based strictly on the overwhelming v**e in Cali.

I recently bought some extra batteries on Amazon for my Canon mirrorless camera. The batteries had Canon on them and the correct numbers. When I tried to use them I got an error message and then a notice that they might be counterfeit and my camera shut off. Be leary of cheap batteries on Amazon.

Send them back. Amazon is one of the easiest companies to return product to. You may have gotten a bad battery. Try to solve the issue before bashing Amazon or the seller. Did you read the reviews? Did anything give you pause from ordering? If not then return the batteries and tell us the outcome.
