Disappointed in B & H

For the first time B&H has let me down. They seem to have lost the need to support the customer.
I updated my printer to a Canon Pro 1000. Are running it with the first set of inks. I purchased a full set of replacement inks and without warning I stopped and a notice came up "Replace the Maintenance Cartridge". I looked into it and found it is a $15.00 cartridge in the back. This is my problem as I didn't know about it, and unlike the ink cartridges gives you no warning.

Called my count on B&H on Friday morning as They close Saturdays. Ordered 2 Maintenance cartridges (one back up). They did not ship till Monday and with Christmas rush I now find it will not be delivered till Friday night. I was in the middle of printing a project and dead for over a week. I told them I was shut down. I will now try to find a store that cares. Looking at Hunts Photo.

Sure am sorry for your troubles. Be prepared for a bunch of B&H apologists who think the company can do no wrong. Although I really don't think an order placed on Friday and shipped Monday gives one much to complain about. When were you expecting them to ship it?

I felt with B&H for years and began to hear a different type of person on the phone. They are working at a job and seem to go thru the motions. They knew I was shut down and I assumed the would get it out that day. They usually support us.

I'm surprised that Canon didn't talk about the maintenance cartridge in the manual that you read.

I'm sorry for your troubles too. Even across the country near Seattle, my best option for Canon Pro-100 ink is B&H. Only place I can drive to is a two our round trip and higher priced.

What a wonderful holiday time post .... Now B&H is responsible for your inability to read the manual? They, as well as many other vendor options for ink, have faster delivery options than a week. They're suppose to overnight them to you for free because you're cheap? booo hoooo hooo for you ...

I'm at fault for not seeing that and am surprised it does not have a warning when it is getting full as does the ink. My fault and Canon could improve the printer by doing it.

Sorry but reading this... YOU are responsible.

1 - You fail to read the manual
2 - You expect B&H to serve you foot and hand, break their traditional opening hours
3 - You expect B&H to force the shipping company to open and pickup on a Sunday.

1) Did B&H miss represent the printer? No.
2) Is it well know that B&H closes on Friday? Yes. I is clearly stated in their web site.
3) Can B&H change other industry? No.

Solutions:
1) Read the effing manual
2) Use another reseller if in a rush and pay for rush shipping
3) Get a life. When was the last time YOU were accused of not doing something that was out of your hands?

Basically, you, sir, are a spoiled brat having a tantrum.

There's the true culprit.

I was curious. The cartridge is empty when new and fills with "waste ink" as you print. When it is full, the printer stops until it gets an empty one.

It could be messy, but I wonder if you can empty it?

No. This is a case of freaking client that expects hand to mouth service. A manual exists. A manual is made for folks who know they need to do some reading. The others, like this guy, complain for not being 'warned'.

This guy likely needs a big warning sign similar to: "Do not dry your cat in a microwave."
