And the D300 will accept just about any glass Nikon ever made; Crop factor is an overrated problem, and easy to work around. And there is tons of damned fine glass available out there, most of the time on the cheap because of the "latest and greatest" snob factor, causing those who do not know better to spend a few house payments on the "upgrade". And "heavy", really? This is a mans grandchild; Young people don't know from "heavy"; that is for geezers like me, and I handle it fine. And my F4, which is considerably heavier. Quality has mass.
