Why not carry the other lens around in a coat pocket?
For about 80% of my images I use either a tripod or the window frame in my car. Most of those are on a tripod. I even put a tripod around the passenger seat to shoot outside the passenger window.
I printed a 18 x 58 canvas image on an HP 3200 printer several years ago that I still like a lot. If you know someone who has a printer large enough to print it, I would ask them first. Probably be cheaper that way.
What Bob said. Download images from card to the computer. Format the card in the camera.
Great experience and images. Thanks for sharing.
For about $400 I got an Induro that is quite sturdy that I use on lenses up to 100-400 Canon lens. It seems to be quite sturdy.
Nice captures, but the colors look a little off to me.
When I shot nikon, I used the 200mm macro. It is one of the best I have ever used. The longer focal length is especially good for photographing insects. With the longer focal length you don't need to get so close to the bugs, so you don't frighten so many that they fly off.
And a merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you, Bob
I use the Canon 11-24 quite a bit, and really like it.
Really hard to get decent images of a Grizzly using a 50.
Grizzly bears, wolves, and elk.
I highly recommend Canon's 400mm f/5.6 lens. It does not have IS but is lightweight and sharp. I used to use mine a lot, but now use the 100-400 lens. However the 100--400 is a lot heavier and I plan to go back to 5.6 lens before long.
I own the 2.8 and the 4, both IS. I much prefer the 4. Very sharp. My 2.8 is the first version so the later ones are surely better. But when the Canon 5DS came out, the 4 was recommended as being sharp enough to profit from the increased image size, and the 2.8 was not.
