CCC great shot your vision heart and tenacity captured the subject. You listened to so called constructive criticism but yet found a way not to compromise your personal style . While we are on the subject of light you may want to Google Galen Rowell Mountain Light Gallery.

Well..Brandy I just went to Wikipedia and typed in the word professional. Would you be amazed at what I found out about your question? Ya take the class. On the other hand, a friend of mine that taught at Brooks for 15yrs. told me not to take classes because my artistic style would suffer from all the photo tricks and lazy short cuts they would seduce me with. Most gold miners (99%) never strike it rich. What about photography? Have fun and smile.

It's very easy to respond to why I use a Leica and Panasonic digital camera with a fast f stop and super zoom below the $1000 range. Nikon & Canon need to up their technology because I ain't gonna shell out the kind of bucks they want for their sub top of the line DSLR cameras or lenses. Was this passive enough for you? While we are on the subject of human psychology I have a manual Nikon and N-80 film camera. Three bros. are on the Duke team this year. I probably won't be able to resist getting my tv connected again. Down with UCON and UNC

My friend is an optics physicist, graduated from RIT and stated that Nikon lenses were used exclusively at that institution when he attended. I was told that most of the lenses used by Raytheon are Nikon except for a Leica which is better. The classic artists like Michelangelo, Shakespeare,Woody Guthrie,(This Land is Your Land) Dali and People like Ansel Adams will live on after the pop artists like Andy Warhol Madonna and Less Brown and his band of renown have faded away. Go Duke!

I was listening to Jimi Hendrix Viet Nam tribute "Machine gun" on youtube. Dramatic and emotional war photos flashed while the song played. Artistic beauty which comes from the heart and can't be taught is what I like. Beauty is not relative and all great artists know it. I'm starting to be encouraged to post a few of my photos when my full plate is emptier.

I used a warming filter when I shot Film. Filters are built into many digital cameras.

Ya The White Dove is beautiful and it's time to return! I visited twice when the restoration was in progress, the last time. According to the manager Ansel Adams photographed the 1st. restoration and a book was published on it. The manager at the time of restoration was a laborer and he was photographed by Adams.

I just started using digital cameras 2 yrs. ago. My first digital camera was a Leica Dlux-4 and my 2nd. one is a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ100. There is little distortion or noise with the 100 hand held at 600mm. GO on line and check the Panasonic photos out. Ya can't beat those Leica lenses. I was a die hard Nikon user when I shot film. Most point and shoot cameras don't have the capacity for lens barrel attachments, like the fun things you won't find in the user manual. Just remember, the proof is in the pudding or rather camera. Will P&S cameras eventually make DSLR cameras obsolete just like digital did to film?
