You're a natural! Great composition! What kind of camera did you use?
I don't know how long you've been enjoying phoyography....but I hope you do understand all the 'right' things you did in taking these photos.

I use lightroom 3....I always bring up the "black" 3 to 5 points. Try it if you can....it adds a hint of 'richness' to my photos. Good shot....my camera would have been in the wrong room and the bird gone when I got back.
Heres my attempt....it does make the bird look a little annoyed...not too sure you were looking for that.

C/C section with data sounds really good to me. Posters could also ask if they want comments/help with composition as opposed to techique....
Thank you admin......while you're at it....can we have a section for bugs on flowers?

I don't really agree with the age limit on this site though I do agree that those are the posted rules and they should be enforced. I will go on to say that it is too bad that these young people have to miss out on what could be a very good learning tool for them and for us. But if there are going to be rules they should be enforced.

I agree, these young photo enthusiasts could be learning so much, however given the inmaturity of some of the adult contributers with their snide remarks which have driven worthwhile adults away....perhaps the minors should be sheltered.

Based on how ugly some of the people on this Forum can be and how they tried to pick fights, I do not feel a minor should see how badly (god fearing or so they say) people act. Many of the old crows are evil and I would hate for the Children to get caught up with someone who tries their best to pick fights and hound a person who already has appoligize, for something that is none of their business.

We have some very cruel people on this forum. But, they already know they are ugly, which may be the reason they act that way. They just pathetic, and mean.
So the minors need to stick to facebook, and I have already had to tell one that they were to young and Sorry, but they could not join yet, but please come back when they are of age.
After being Bullie, by several women, I'm truely afraid for the minors.

This is true. I have run across a couple threads recently that I would not want my 11 year old exposed to. When my children were young I previewed sites. They would probably not have been allowed on a site like this for just the examples you mentioned. The internet is also NOT a safe place for young people. Especially open forum like this where they can be privately contacted.

So hard to get adults to act like adults.....and this is a photograhpy site...for learning and sharing...sometimes it feels like kindergarden.....or congress!

I think it's just a growing curve, soon the ones that are only here for ego stoking will fade away and we will be left with those who are truly here to learn.

We just have to wait it out.

ONE THING THAT INTERESTS ME, SINCE YOU HAVE BEEN TO SO MANY PLACES AND ARE EXPERIENCED IN THE WORLD, IS WHAT COUNTRY OR COUNTRIES YOU FEEL HAVE BETTER GOVERNMENTS THAN OUR ADMITTEDLY DEFECTIVE ONE.

There is not one country. Each country provide good and bad laws. And often greed is playing a hefty role. I am still Dutch, but if I have to choose between the groups I think I am more on the side of the democrates. I love to see at least one more strong political party in the US to keep a better balance between the two we have now.
Two examples:
Why is it that we still have such an expensive medical system and problems with the social security system?
Because Washington took the advantage to create the best system for themself regardless if the people in main street are suffering. If the voters take that away from them and let them have the same what you and we have, I garantee you that those problems are solved.

[ I was given a choice in one thread of photos 1-3 and in response asked if there was a 4th. That's when you can tell you're burnt out.[/quote]

Thanks for the chuckle.....

I think all three are beautiful...just a tad over on saturation. The composition to my eye is well balanced....These px brought a smile...my first decent point-n-shoot...I spent the beter part of an outdoor wedding focusing on flowers just like yours....we don't have them in NY. I'll have to go thru my files and look for them.
thanks for the memories

Beautiful. I think they're very well balanced. I love the depth of field in the first photo.....just enough in the background to let you know where you are...and not enough to distract. Great job!
