After reading thru the thread "Understanding Masking," is there any way of saving this thread somewhere on the site, o/t hoping to remember the title and searching for it?

If you zoom in as shown in the attached photo, it changes the effective size of the blue circle, which does not change size on the screen. (Allows you to fix a smaller defect without bleeding over into another area.) It also lets you see smaller defects. You can also undo the last fix that you did with the arrow shown in the picture. Download this to see what I wrote on the image.

Note that Lightroom has a similar tool with a few additional adjustments possible.

Thank you so much. I didn't take the time to really explore it at the time. I am scanning old slides and photos and this makes quick work of it.

A friend uses one as her "jewelry box" and it still doesn't have enough room in it. I just didn't know what to say when she showed it to me.

I just tried this and it works quite well, although I ended up on one photo with Mom's nose on top of Dad's head. Too bad to can't just undo the last action. I had to reset it and do the spot removal again. You can't adjust the size of the spot removal circle.

I seldom use the Search feature because it relies on the title the poster used. There could be few results or hundreds, and they might not be directly related to my question. Aside from Search, we could shut down this forum and get our answers from Google.

I prefer getting an answer to my specific question answered by people in the current time frame. Cameras, lenses, and software change continually. An answer that was appropriate six months ago might not apply now.

I agree. I've been frustrated so often trying to use the search feature that I have given up. People generally have been helpful answering a question that may have been asked many times before. You learn whom to ignore.

May I ask what double download is? I am clueless. Thanks, Rolk.

I too would like to know how to double download.

Not only is he an artist, but so are the people who put together the individual pieces for his shows. The arrangement is different every time it's put together. He is the inspiration but his studio employs many glass blowers. His singular glass bowls are exquisite.

A pre-op patient telling me he took his morning meds, except for "latex" his substitute for lasix, a diuretic.

a mother who told my sister, who works with language delayed kids, during an intake interview that her son had been very sick with "smilin' mighty jesus." She finally realized that Mom meant spinal meningitis.
