The D600 has 2 SD slots. Did you tell the camera to which slot to save the shots?

Sorry, you just won't get much for $200. You might consider looking at used equipment. But even at that I would guess that it will be well used.
With the new one you would get a 5 year warrantee. I would think that is worth $186.
Have had one iteration of this lens for quite some time. It is one of Nikons better lenses. Reviewers say that it is just about as sharp as the f2.8 at far less money which I haven't had the opportunity to try. The lens has a crisp focus. But the lens is a bit on the heavy side.
I have so much Nikon stuff that I could survive for ever! However, I could easily go to Leica.
