This is my last post on this thread.
I went and shot my mouth off again without knowing the facts. The rifle he was using can be changed to a full automatic, it requires a drop in bolt and other adjustments that a gun smith can do. I imagine that the information can be found somewhere on the Internet. If there are instructions on how to make a bomb on the Internet it isn't a stretch that this would also be somewhere on it.
However, the AR-15 Holmes was using was semi-automatic capable of shooting 50-60 rounds a minute not the 100+ rounds a minute I was informed. Also it was the clip that malfunctioned not the rifle, so he had to change weapons not reload.
I stand corrected and apologize for getting all riled up over misinformation. It will probably happen again. I am too old to change.
