Suggest you try it in a store. Both of the kit lenses are ‘power zoom’ which I found frustrating- as is the 18-105. I ended up with the 18-153 and rokinon 12 mm f2 on an a6500. Love them!

I will only add to be sure if your monitor requires specific equipment for calibration. I have a dell ultra sharp monitor with a MacBook Pro. I first bought a Color Sypder which didn’t work. I researched and found dell has its own calibration software (Dell Ultrasharp Calibration Solution) DUCS that only works with an i1Display Pro calibrator. Works very well. Be sure to follow all steps mentioned above.

I have a MBP and a Dell U2516D. Dell has its own version of Xrite calibration software that requires you use a i1Display calibrator. If you go with Dell with a Mac you WILL need to calibrate the set. Be sure you know what the requirements are. Last, I am 72 and only use the native resolution for soft proofing because I can’t read the tiny photoshop letters in the native resolution. I like the Dell, but would buy something else if I were doing it again.

I wear a XL glove and had the same concern. I added a L Bracket for tripod use. I can only tell you I acclimated to the smaller much lighter camera after a few uses. If interested you might get one that is returnable and just try it. Best Buy will charge 15% restock, Sammy’s will limit you to 200 clicks and I think B&H has no restriction, but not sure. But as I said, both cameras are great and D5600 has excellent reviews and test results. The only downside to the Sony is a more limited selection of lenses.

I have used a Nikon D7000 and 7200 for 6 years and they are great cameras - especially the D7200. I have arthritis in my wrists and recently bought a Sony A6500 with the 18-135mm and 55-200 lenses. The Sony is ridiculously easy to use. It seems to have slightly less dynamic range than the D7200 but magnificent and blazing auto focus. You will be happy with the results of either camera, but my D7200 will be for sale in the near future. Buy one and enjoy the pictures!!
