I have the older Surface Pro 4 and I watch videos, movies and post process photos with it. I would think the Pro 6 is good to go.
Will do. Are they compatible in quality and performance in your opinion?
Nice gift. I am also thinking of doing the same thing. Either the Tamron or the Sigma. Just have not decided which one.
I like the shot. I agree the structure is a bit odd. When I first looked at it I felt I was on Mars. Thinking the structure was a spacecraft leg.
Since I started this topic asking for input on a lens (lense) for my canon t2i, I will thank you all for the data. Even those that were more worried about my spelling (even if it was done by the IPad auto correct).
I am a new camera user and was looking for friendly advice which I certainly got. I was not looking for a spelling to grammar lesson. I am sure that is another forum.
I will apologize if I bothered anyone by not checking each and every letter typed.
Having said that, I have more then enough info to move forward and find a new attachment for my camera.
Thank you all and have a happy and safe holiday season.
JimH123,
For the most part here in the Puget Sound (Seattle area). We see them sort of slow cruising which makes it a bit easier. I do like your suggestion of zooming in after finding the target. Sure is something to think about.
Thanks.
Jdub82,
I have also been looking at the Tamron 18-400 and 150-600 as options. I am not sure if the 150-600 works with a C sensor or not. Still trying to find that data.
Thanks for recommending the options.
Unlucky2,
Thank you for the info. I will look around and see what I can find. I am looking for something to shoot a long distance all the time. The whales really don't come very close to the beach. I thought of a zoom but I have other lens that will fit that mode.
Thanks again.

I am always shooting from land.
Unlucky2, is the 400L a canon lense and good for the crop sensor camera?
Hello HOG members.
My wife and I have become addicted to chasing the Orca whales around Puget Sound these days. The most beautiful thing I have seen in a long while. My problem is I only have a 55/250 canon lense on my EOS t2i. I most certainly need more power to get better shots from long distance. I am not going to change the camera just want a lense to reach out and touch those wonderful creatures.
I know there are many members that can help me upgrade my lense for this. Any and all suggestion are welcome.
Thank you in advance for all your assistance.
Thank you everyone for the suggestions. I am leaving for Vegas tomorrow and will post some photos next week after I return.
I am headed to Vegas later this week and looking for suggestions on photo opportunities. Probably going to the Neon Sign Museum, and looking for more ideas.
Thanks in advance.
What computer are you connecting the Dell monitor to?
I have the Microsoft Surface 4 and was also looking at Dell.
Awesome, to bad Payton is only doing insurance commercials these days
