I have been spooked by my TV set. No matter what time I turn it on commercials pop up, it could be a football game I try to watch a movie or a game show I get several minutes of commercials before the show is tuned in. Please don’t suggest aspiring it doesn’t help.

I made this same observation/complaint to the group a year or two ago.
Same exact thing happens to me.

I took a trip yesterday with two friends to see a Hungarian music performance in MA. The two women sat in the front seat, and they talked non-stop for the entire eight hours, except during the performance. Fortunately, I stayed out of the conversation because the combination of the noisy back seat and their low voices would have made me keep saying, "What?" I've noticed before how good women are at talking, compared with men. Still, I was amazed at how they seemed to discuss a variety of topics - health, family, cooking, traveling, clothing - endless! I don't think there was ever more than a minute's silence.

If you're ever in Sheffield, MA, eat at the Frog Restaurant. Great food at good prices.

Or how about no signal at all!

Have you noticed that the more expensive the vehicle, the less likely they are to signal? Entitlement!

Years ago I had a ‘71 Vega. We drove from Ny to FL & back with my 2 year old son in a portacrib. Boy was I stupid.

After years away from the hobby I have plastic air plane model that I want to do a good job on. Having not been in a hobby shop in years if I could even find one' I was wondering is there a type of masking tape fine enough to use that would not bleed through ?

Maybe you could pick up some at an auto body shop.

BEWARE! If you have an iPhone and have done the recent iOS 17 update. They have set a new feature call NameDrop to default to ON. This allows the sharing of contact info AND YOUR PHOTOS!… just by bringing your phones close together…even with strangers. To shut this off go to Settings/General/Airdrop/Bringing Devices Together/Change to OFF.

I shut mine off.
Mark

Thanks Mark. Just changed our phones to off.

Here’s something you can try when you forget what you go into another room for something…go back to the room you were in when you thought about it. Usually works for me.

I've had similar problems in dealing with CVS Pharmacy. Almost impossible to get by phone and when you do after many minutes, you're transferred to another department and the call is lost and you have to start all over again. Has taken up to 3 hours to resolve issue. That's why I posted this because I'm sure many hoggers have had similar eperiences which is what makes Amazon such a good deal.

When I’m in Florida, the Boynton Beach CVS Pharmacy on Congress never answers their phone. No problem with CVS with Oceanside NY store.

They seem to be on a trajectory to attempt an overtake of Amazon. But, are their products any good? I realize most are probably manufactured in China (or similar), and I suspect they are sub-par, but haven't bought any, or know of anyone who has. My question, have you? What has your experience been? Is the tool that costs $20 at Harbor Freight worth the $2.50 TEMU charges.

I read a few articles about Temu. I stay far away from them and I recommend that to anyone who is thinking about using them.
It’s a Chinese company who main interest is gathering as much information about you as possible. They offer cheaply made, low priced products in order to capture your credit card information and other data on you like your address and spending habits.
My niece is hooked on them despite my informing of of ulterior motives.
I would definitely suggest you do a search for Temu on Bing or Duck Duck Go.
I NEVER use Google because they collect similar data from you.
I will that I do use a couple of Google products that I just can’t do without. WAZE, and Words with Friends.

That’s my 2¢.

I remember doing that on Turkey Day. It was on for a year or two. I think I was a pre-teen growing up in Middle Village, Queens. Never knew it was called Ragamuffin Day. Most people didn’t have Halloween candy so they gave us money.
No one ever believed me when I told them.

Well, that's probably in our future. The same thing happens with red light cameras. You receive a ticket in the mail. Some towns are doing away with those cameras because they're not fair.

If you’re worried about red light cameras and speed cameras, don’t drive in Brooklyn or Queens, NY. Brooklyn has speed cameras about every 2 blocks on major streets. Red light cameras are even more plentiful.

If you want to know where all these are, and in any state, ope and drive with the WAZE App. You don’t have to set a destination, just use the map aspect.
BTW, Google owns WAZE as well as Google maps. They, too, know everything.
