Hi Suntouched, sorry to see you leave Fuji. Would you be interested in selling the 16, 23, and 35mm lens?

Joe

Joe
The lenses you were interested in are available after all.

Asking Prices:

23 mm lens 325.00
35 mm lens 300.00
16 mm lens 300.00

I am breaking up the kit so if you are interested in only one lens that is fine.

Kind of the opposite. I sold all my Canon equipment to Arlene Sheras (Used Photo Pro) and went heavily into Fuji (XT-4 etc.) I’ve also a good deal of Olympus equipment I use for birds etc. and where weight matters.

You might give Arlene a call (301) 526-9065. I was very happy with the price and her professionalism.

Ken

Thanks Ken and nice to hear from you again :) I think I have most of the items sold in the kit although I did have to break it up-

Hi Suntouched, just wanting to ask. Are you using RF lenses or EF with an Adapter. I am thinking about upgrading to the R6 from my 5d iii. I will only lose 2 mepixels so that does not bother me. Thanks. Joe W.

I used EF lenses with the adapter at first but eventually changed over to all RF lenses. I had the 100-400 mm EF lens and it worked fine with the adapter but when the 100-500 RF lens was released I changed over to it. Saved a little bit of weight and picked up a little focal length doing so. The only other lens I have for the R6 is the 24-105 mm lens and I bought that after the R6 so that is an RF lens too.

You’ve been a member of the UHH for years. I hope this well-priced sale means you’ve found kit you like better?

Yes I have been through quite a few cameras over the years 😁 I love to try new equipment and my photography interests have changed over time. The Canon R6 has been an excellent fit for birds and wildlife. Nothing is perfect but this one is close enough for me. And you?

Out of all the cameras I have owned the Canon 90d was by far the worse for motion images for me. Even with the wonderful Canon 100-400 mm lens (II) my keeper rate went down down down for anything moving which was problem since I do birds and wildlife. For stills it was fine. Nice color and contrast.
Fast forward- I kept the camera for much longer than I should have but finally replaced it after about a year with the Canon R6 and Canon 100-500 mm R lens. Day and Night difference!
There have been so many public complaints about the Canon 90d although some seemed to have found work around solutions for its focus issues. Proceed carefully.

There is lots of haze which negatively impacts big vista photos and the Grand Canyon is no exception. I would think mid morning and mid afternoon could be the worse times in terms of haze. Summer fires are a problem which adds to the pollution. The most spectacular photos I have seen have been taken during the summer monsoon season. Amazing cloud formations help to fill in the vast area and give dimension and interest. A little snow in the winter looks good too. I would also like to go back there and try again. Same with Monument Valley.

Love your Roseate Spoonbills! It is not a bird we often see in Az but about 3 years ago a female flew into the Gilbert Water Ranch and stays during the winter. She hangs out with the Egrets while she is here. We are all hoping she will bring a mate back with her. Thanks for posting.

You have a broken screen. You don't seem to be able to 'restore' the operating system given all the great advice here. Especially calling Apple. I doubt they will charge you to walk you through the steps; but if they do...go for it.
Likely no end user will buy your laptop with a broken screen. Sell it as is and just move on.
Go to Apple's Trade In website to see what it would be worth in different conditions...you will need the serial #

If that is the case, I'd do an Internet search for instructions on how to create a "bootable" recovery/installation USB drive. You'll need a 32GB or larger flash drive to do that.

Do you know what year you bought your MBP? That will at least let us know what MacOS or OS X versions will run on it.

Aug 2015- Mac Book Pro, 15.4 display, Intel Core i7, 16 GB memory, 256 GB Flash Storage

When I get home I can look for the purchase receipt or purchase history and I’ll post it

Call Apple Support at 800-275-2273.

If you have another Mac, you can create an installer for the operating system on a USB flash memory drive or a removable hard drive.

If the computer came with an older operating system on a DVD, you can install from that, assuming the machine has an optical drive in it.

If you just want to protect your data, there are probably instructions and videos online for removing a drive. https://www.ifixit.com and OWC Support https://eshop.macsales.com/Service/ have guides and videos explaining what to do. They also sell tools.

If it were mine, I'd remove the drive and sell the computer for parts. The drive can be put into an external case and serve as a backup or be reformatted as additional storage for a new computer, assuming it works. iFixIt and OWC both have the tools and supplies to do that. IT IS EASY.
