RichardQ, thank you for posting these and other pictures of post-war Germany and Europe. The black and white format certainly captures the destruction/desolation of the cities that were virtually destroyed by Allied bombing.
My current camera is a Canon S95. Takes good pictures, but I'm ready to move up to a DSLR. I don't shoot sports or much low-light situations. Mostly people, scenery, touristy stuff, etc. The Pentax K-500 interests me, especially since you can now get a 2-lens package for about $500. I would probably want to add a prime lens in the future.
I've looked at m4/3, but prefer something a bit larger. Alas, there are no Pentax dealers in my area, so I can't put my hands on one. I'd like to know other member's experience with this specific camera, or the similar K-50, or any other of the current Pentax offerings. Overall satisfaction, mostly, given that the K-500 is considered an entry level camera. Your comments are appreciated.
Thanks for providing this link to the past. I'm looking forward to the rest of the pictures.
It might be a Peony Poppy.
Where in Texas were these taken?
Please keep these coming! I've really enjoyed all your car show postings.

I use a PC for work, I communicate via email using Outlook, I send quotes using both Excel and Word, and most of the communications I get from my major suppliers are in Word. Heres my question, what issues would I have in switching to Mac?
The applications mentioned are all "cross platform" and designed to work both with PCs and Macs.
You shouldn't have any problems. Of course, Murphy does ride a tall horse.....
Go for the Mac!
Re. the 5th picture: it's hard to read the sign set behind the windshield, but this appears to be a 2005 Ford Mustang that's been modified with 1950 Ford parts.
Another tip regarding cards. If you're taking lots of pictures on vacation etc, use one card one day and another the next. Or, one in the AM and one in the PM. Alternating like that could save half or more of your pictures in case of catastrophic card failure.
The 1939 Buick Special Business Coupe gets my vote. (I suspect there wasn't a straight eight under that hood.) Great pictures; thanks for posting over the last several weeks.
My vote would be for the 1954 Ford Crestline Sunliner. Gorgeous; first year for the "Y" block V-8 in a Ford.
While it's not Elements, if you have a Mac, you can open the photo in the "Preview" application. Then you can create circles, arrows, crop, etc. It's pretty handy.
Thanks to each of youl that responded. GBM3
Saw a posting today with Lupines from Maine. Having followed UHH for a while, decided to register and post a picture of some Texas Lupines (Bluebonnets.) Picture taken Spring, 2012, south of Dallas near Ennis - in my 70+ years, I've never seen bluebonnets quite like those were. The gate was a fun addition to the picture, which was taken with a Canon S95.
