The equipment is exactly the same, built in the exact same factories by the exact same personnel. The serial number is the difference and the internal Nikon accounting, based on that s/n, for where the lens is intended to be sold and at what price. Nikon stopped allowing third-parties access to Nikon parts a few years ago. If Nikon should refuse to fix it, you probably cannot find anyone else.

Actually, Nikon did NOT stop ALL third parties, just made it extremely difficult and expensive for them. In fact, Nikon's repair facilities actually use some of them for "overflow" at times.

We all loved Kodak. I wish them well in any venture. However, this was billed as a loan to have the company become involved in COVID research and develop ment. It would seem they will be lightyears behind the competition in getting started. There are plenty of companies already in existence much closer to developing vaccines that could benefit from such infusions of cash. Those companies might develop a vaccine much sooner than startups would or could. Interesting how the millions of unemployed aren’t entitled to any benefits, but plenty of money is available for this outlay. Betcha a friend of the Emperor will be the big winner here. How much ya wanna bet a good portion, or even all, of this “loan” will never be repaid.
We all want Kodak - and its’ employees to do well. The problem is how fair is the process or decision-making that goes into deciding on who or what enterprise receives these “loans” and, or gifts.
I hear there are politicians who are saying we cannot afford to give subsidies to the unemployed who are likely soon to be evicted, lose their homes and automobiles. However, there is always money for the rich and wealthy and large corporations. Funny thing, that. Maybe we’d have more money if it wasn’t for that tax “cut” that was enacted to exclusively to benefit the rich 1% of the population and wealthy corporations. I am not against Kodak, just the way our tax dollars seem to be divvied up. The “qualifications” to benefit these days seem to vary day to day and more upon who your friends are than what you can provide our Country.

Kodak IS NOT going after the vaccine market. They will only be producing "generic" drugs with which to manufacture prescriptions.

"your existing 50 mm F1.8 lens becomes an "effective" 75mm f/2.8 optic"

Wrong: the field of view will be the same as a 75mm on a full frame, yes, but, the aperture WILL NOT CHANGE (remains at f/1.8).

Might be interesting if they were in focus.

Actually, most of them are in focus, but, the DOF is so short that they appear to be out-of-focus.

There used to be a fellow Hogger by the name of MT Shooter that had a camera store in Billings Montana. Sadly he has retired from the store and I haven't heard from him in a long while. I thought I would just mention him as he was a good guy and knew cameras and photography equipment. If you were a member of this forum he would give you a spectacular deal

He's still around, just not running the store any more. In fact, he just posted on a discussion about a trip to Yellowstone.

Hi all! I went to Wiers Beach here in NH and took some pictures with my newly used Nikon D750 with Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm 1.4 G ED N Lens. in all of my pictures I get this sorta white streak. (I have attached a file for reference). I have no idea what caused it. It is in the same place in every picture. no matter what subject I took a picture of. I don't think it has anything to do with the sun or lighting issue. I did import into Lightroom, I looked at the raw files and yes it is there. Your help with figuring this out would be appreciated! please help. Also any ideas on how to get rid of it? I have Lightroom and photoshop.

I never knew that Nikon made a AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm 1.4 G ED N. It was either an f/4 or an f/3.5-4.5 (affectionately called the "street sweeper").

I'm sorry, but while I totally agree that it is an excellent photo, and the model is very attractive, I find your continual use of phrases like "great body" and "nice tits" very objectifying and totally unnecessary.

To each, his own; you sound rather prudish.

Catalog is the American spelling; catalogue is the (original) British spelling; same thing.
