A question that I've often asked myself is, "Why isn't Baby Oil made from babies?" I know that Corn Oil is made from corn and that Olive Oil is made from Olives. It makes sense to me.

Another thing I did not know!
I guess I will have to stop squeezing babies!
It does however, explain a lot of the odd looks I get when I visit hospitals while carrying large empty baby oil bottles.

WHAT!!!

THEY DON'T!!!????!!!??

Ok. I am definitely canceling those tickets for a direct flight from Punxsutawney to Milan! Even though the in-flight meal was pizza with groundhog sausage!

Greetings,

I am thinking of purchasing a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens for indoor volleyball sports photography because of it's superior results in low light & high speed action conditions. I believe this lens was made for a "Full Frame" image sensor camera body for optimal performance. Are there any concerns or problems using this lens with an APS-C image sensor?

Thank you for any advice you can offer.

It is my favorite lens on my 80D. Enjoy!

The upshot of everything here so far is, if you want to get the results of professionals, you need to put in the same level of effort. Good equipment, good technique and good post processing. You can't skip steps and expect the same results.

I have a chance to purchase a Canon Pro 10 and 2 packs of 13x19 Canon paper for $350. Printer has been used once. Is this a good deal. I have the Pro 100.

NO!

IT IS A TERRIBLE DEAL!

RUN AWAY!!!

But before you run put me in touch with whoever is selling this!

Hey! You can always pick one up for $800 on Amazon. But I do not want to prevent you from enjoying GAS at $800, so I am willing to sacrifice $350 to prevent that!

Hey, I am just a nice guy! What can I say.

Interpretation of the above is; "yes it seems like a good deal, if everything is in working order and you can get your money back if it is not.

I like all outdoor photography, whether wildlife, landscape or just random scenes that catch my eye. I've owned a Canon Rebel 2 for quite sometime. Without buying a camera and lens that cost me 8-10 grand or more, is ther a better way to get professional results? I have taken thousands of pics and have been complemented on many but I just don't see that stand out sharp crisp clear image I see in other photos. I don't photo shop or any of the fancy stuff. Kinda of old school I guess. Could it be an f2.8 lense, tripod, filters, etc. needed or just some training or classes from someone. Even if composed well I still think it can be better than what I'm doing. This may be too lengthy of an answer for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated

While there are lots of things you can do to get better results straight out of the camera, you should be aware "that stand out sharp crisp clear image I see in other photos" is often achieved by professionals using the post processing you seem to want to avoid.

Without the ability to choose the right tool, we are useless and actually worse than everyone else regardless of how good the tool is.

Perhaps a good way to find the best camera is to count up every single accessory that a camera can use and match it up against every other camera and it’s accessories. A simple count would give us the winner. 😊😊

No!!!!
That is just idiotic!
That is like saying to find the best hammer count the number of nails it can drive.
Not all hammers are for nails! Some are for shaping! Some are for demolition.
The best of any tool is determined by the job you need to do.
A camera that handles the most accessories may not handle any of them well. It may be awful at everything!

All my lenses cost $250-$300, if you don't believe me just ask the wife.

Hey! If you tell her that is what they cost, I will NOT challenge you! In fact, if you need a counterfeit receipt, let me know!
Reasonable rates.
The receipt will read "WYSDK Photo Inc."
WYSDK = "What Your Spouse Don't Know"
I will make it look believable. For an extra (not so reasonable) fee, I will even provide a link to a site showing that Canon 500mm lens at $250.00!
However, I do not testify at divorce proceedings.
If it gets to that point, you are on your own!

We all know that the camera does not capture what the eye sees. It certainly does not capture what is in the mind and imagination of the photographer (unless the photographer constrains their imagination to the limitations of the box in their hands instead of the one between their ears.)
So you can either go for the limited outcomes imposed by the camera manufacturer that constructed the device or you can view the camera as just one tool used in the process, embrace post processing and try to achieve your own vision.
