Why should they? They are doing very well with software why get into the hardware business? Besides I don't think people would pay monthly for their cameras though.

It would be hard for a software company to compete with established camera manufacturing giants like Canon, Nikon, Panasonic and Sony, just to name a few. Of course they could take a similar course as Sony and just buy an already established camera manufacturer. I hear Olympus may be available.
Probably for the same reason Harman Ltd doesn't.

Pretty much anyone came make digital cameras, right? Call China for some sensors, a computer chip, you don't even need to source a mirror supplier. Away you go, you already have the software written, just find-all / change-all Lightroom to Firmware and you're in business.

For the same reason Pizza Hut doesn’t make airplanes.
They are not into that. Probably the market share wouldn't allow for it anyway givin the current state of camera sales.
