The Canon extenders will not safely mount on that lens. The older Tamron SP extenders WILL mount - but you will be no or poor AF and a dim viewfinder for manual focus.

Maximize your native IQ and CROP and use well applied pixel enlargement software for larger prints and forget TC's for that lens....

I believe you should sell the Nikon 18-200 lens and buy lenses made for your camera. Second hand or refurb is a cheaper option.

I have a6000 & a6300 with Metabones (for Canon) and agree. I have good results with macro (manual focus, connected aperture) but spotty in other cases.

Pro^2.
If I could only have 1 camera this would be the one.
The "one inch" sensor is too small to compete with the high-end cameras - mirrorless and DSLR but the ergonomics make up for that.
If you have any doubt, rent one.
You will see lot's of comments here from those who have one and also on the internet. But see for yourself. That is why I own one - I rented it first.

A friend asked me to recommend a multi-lens DSLR system to replace her bargain P&S. I advised she (a Full Auto shooter) would be happier with the SONY RX10 m4. She bought one a year ago and outshoots me every time. My daughter a Canon 7Dii shooter recently followed suit and says she's glad she did. I'm planning to offload a bunch of DSLR equipment soon and follow suit.

My grandson (age 12) has spent hours watching Utube videos of "unboxing" I asked him why in the world do you do THAT?! Hope he will soon avoid this senseless waste of time!!

I see B&H have them used at about half the new price. Suggests more research needed perhaps.

Don, humans are animals... unless we be mineral or vegetable?
We share much exact DNA with reptiles.
There is a part of the human brain that is utterly identical
to the skinks in your captivating photo.

Skinks are chordates, so are humans. The phylum we share
is defined by 5 identical anatomical features.

I feel that most mammals (and other orders of chordates) definitely
have emotions.

Crocodiles aggressively defend their babies
when they are eggs. And that chordate predates
humans by millions of years.

So, who "mimics" whom?
Or if you prefer; who mimics what?

Humans of course
come from eggs too, however human eggs "hatch"
before they leave the mothers body... The same as
"viviparous" snakes that nourish their developing fetuses
through a placenta and give birth to live young...

Not to be confused with "ovoviviparous" snakes which are NOT placental
but also give birth to live young.

Thanks Bob. Hunting with a camera is so much fun. Here in this very populous part of Florida we are seeing a sharp decline in our wildlife across the board. This reminds us that these fleeting photo ops are never repeated, thus we must hang onto our "keepers."

Scientists have reported that "EEGs" show brainwaves of animals mimic the emotional responses of humans. Sometimes I wonder.

Found this image made a few years ago and am reminded that we should save our original files as our PP skills will hopefully get better. When we have (I haven't) the original we likely can render a better result. Oh, well, "if wishes were horses beggars would ride" my forebears would say.
