I see B&H have them used at about half the new price. Suggests more research needed perhaps.

I have the same lens on an A6000 and have been very pleased with it. No complaints.

I have used mine as my one travel lens on my A6000 and it has been an extremely effective and useful lens. I just upgraded to an A6600 and will also use it there.

Big & heavy and probably droops a lot? Otherwise OK. Quality at 200mm dependent on camera IS and technique. Nikon 18-200 a much better lens. I've had both by the way. Sony on an A6000, Nikons D90, D3400, D5300, D5600

I presume that you bought this lens and cannot return it for a refund unless it’s defective. So NOW you solicit opinions as to whether it’s any good? If I am correct, what difference does it make whether there’s a consensus of opinion either for or against this lens' utility?

Perhaps it may be but not much good on a Sony.
