funny you mentioned that. the building , Abbot Hall is the main town(Marblehead, Ma.)office building and about a week before this shot extensive renovation just finished after almost a year and a half and the scaffolding had just been dismantled. i'll post a picture of it being renovated if i can find one. and thanks for all the positive feedback on the photo.

Ha, that's funny that it just got renovated. Quite beautiful!

OP, here's where you get your 5DmIII deals. And don't be afraid of the grey market models for $250 of savings. The unauthorized dealers that canonpricewatch shows are reputable.

On a cloudy morning, I find my buddy nesting under a tree by our back yard playset. This was taken with the Tamron at 600mm, hand held on my knees, about 35-40yds away.

1/250 sec at f/9.0, ISO 1250

No prob, raymondh. You're right with the 7D, it's horrible with ISO...1600...400...what's the difference? There is a difference, but still horrible noise. Gotta clean it up no matter what.

What makes it worse is I have no raw file, I shot it originally in jpeg mode.

Sharp & surprisingly little noise for a 7D @ 1600 ISO. Any special processing?

It was at ISO 400, not 1600. 1600th of a sec shutter speed. But still it had quite a bit of noise.
I tried to clean it up using a noise lightroom brush.

Great pics! #3 eating the apple is a real nice capture. The others are too, but # 3 is striking.

I am looking forward to buying the new Canon 5DS R (50.6 MP) if the price is right. Imagine the detail I will get from this new camera. I thank you very much, Fullframe, for your valued remarks and looking at my photos.

Fantastic  I have that same lens for my Canon body. It seems to be growing on me the more I use it.

Great lighting and contrast in all of them. I especially like the last one. Great feather detail and nice clean sky.

You don't need any new camera, Regis. Shots are simply superb

Yeah, it looks abandoned, yet neatly maintained. Great shot, I like the sky and mountain range in the background.

I agree with speters, your composition in the original is what really makes the picture spectacular. You added another sky in the second, which is real cool.

I like the second one on the face of it, but once downloaded, I think I like the first. Keep playing with that new program, that looks real interesting.
