Yes photogrl57, the sky was gray that day. How about photo2, photo3 or photo4. Do the trees distract you? Or, no background at all? Thanks again for your input!

I actually like the tree in 2 and the leaves in 3 both of those bring your eye to the model so the background is not so distracting. '
:) well done on those

Thanks photogrl57. Actually, I was trying to use a background that I thought wouldn't detract from the shot, but it obviously did. It was taken at a lake. The hills from the other side of the lake are the distraction. Thanks for your input!

It's not the hills so much as the washed out sky. We have a lot of that here in the desert southwest. Perhaps just a different time of day would make all the difference.

Beautiful girl. She is very photogenic. Maybe put a bit of thought into the background next time... it's a bit distracting from your model :)

omg it's been so long since I posted anything here that I totally spaced on resizing the pics lol.
These are my 2 newest heathens. I have never been a fan of the chiquaqua and now I find myself the mother of 2 of them hahha.
The reason I included them is they are Never still unless they are sleeping.

Peso - chi/king charles spaniel mix. When the guys brought him home he had been living on the streets and was covered in about 300 ticks. This one really needed to be rescued

Shiloh - he was just 6 wks old when we got him after having to put cheyenne down

in a week he will be 3 mos old and this is how I normally see him. Just a blur lol

Yay I finally found you lol. Wonderful photos so far. I look forward to seeing the rest.
My still life is a bit different.

These are from a local artist. The whole wall around the property is carved

Love these ants

Most of the artwork is metal

I took a snapshot of Cheyenne and discovered an issue with red eye. I found a simple solution......Perfect!

Cute pic. :) I had the same problem with my heathens... try upping the ISO and don't use a flash, it seems to work on mine.

Wonderful photos so far y'all. I'm in the desert southwest, the only ice I see is the ice cubes in my freezer lol. How interesting is that.
The kid already teases me for what he thinks are strange things to photograph haha I can only imagine what he will say if I shoot the ice cubes LOL.
Nan ... you are right.... that will be my new years resolution.
I've been slacking... can count on one hand the number of times I've gotten the camera out to photograph anything but the heathens.
I almost forgot how much I love it. Not sure if I will find any real ice but that will just make me think outside the box.
Thank you all for your comments I love y'all.

Hey everybody. I had a great time lookin at all your photos.
Things have been really hectic around here.
My sister passed away, that was a bummer. I didn't even know she was sick and 2 months after I found out she was gone. :(
Then we had to put down one of our dogs. The sheltie got sick and it would have cost 4k in tests to find out what it was... that didn't even count getting her well again... and no guarantee to even find out what it was. I still cry for the dog everyday, I miss her so much.
I enjoyed the visit today. I hope to be back soon.
Love y'all
sherrie
