For years I used Photoshop, upgrading to CS 5 and then the subscription routine began. I went out and purchased PS Elements 14 and have not looked back since. It does everything I needed to do to continue growing my fine art photography business. With several delicious plug-ins, my post processing world is intuitive and easy. PS Elements is now Elements 2018...usually around Thanksgiving you can find it greatly discounted at many places.
I mostly use program mode. Grew up using 35mm cameras And am well able to use manual settings when necessary. However, I rarely use manual. If I do not like the shutter / aperture combo I simply change it, depending upon what I am shooting. I sell my photographs online and at art shows. My customers don't care if I shoot manual or on program mode.
I have been taking photographs since I was 7 years old...started out with a Kodak Pony where you had to set aperture, shutter speed and distance. In the early 70's I graduated to a Konica SLR. In the 90's came a Nikon 8800 bridge camera, then a Nikon D80, D90 and now a D7500. Manual...you are kidding, right? You have a sophisticated piece of technology which can determine proper exposure, shutter speed, etc. I mostly shoot P mode, and use aperture or shutter speed mode when I want to control certain aspects of the scene. If you really believe using manual mode is better for you, by all means, fiddle with everything... In the meantime, I got the shot. BTW, I have photographed weddings, model shoots and now concentrate on fine art photography for purchase. The customers do not care whether I shoot manual, auto, program, etcetera.
Virtually no color on the Susquehanna Valley areas here on PA . Fall has been too dry , most leaves are either green or have already shriveled up and dropped
I use Elements 14 and Photomatix Pro 6.0; just wish it could plug onto Elements. Just got Aurora 18 for PC which should have an Elements plug on before end of year with a free update. It too can do single or burst. I experimented with a shot which I just could not get right using Photomatix. Some of the additional processing options in Aurora enabled me to make the image right. Both are good programs; you can't go wrong with either of them,
My first wedding photos were taken there. Area was closed, but was able to get on due to a "special payment." Fun photographs, thanks for sharing.
I have been using ON1 products way before the company was called ON1. I did subscribe to the PLUS program and find the extra cost well worth it. I too kept 10.5 just in case, but after several great updates never use it. The program keeps getting better and better.
There are two NY camera stores to buy from...B&H or Adormama. Period!
I never attach my D90 to the PC. Use card reader and never have an issue.
Got my activation link and license key yesterday...everything went smoothly
My understanding is that batch edit for the PC version will not be available until later this fall; as will other options currently on the Mac version.
I had one of those too...and I used a 2x extender on it...on a Konica Auto Reflex T!
1600 mm telephoto in the 35mm film days; with digital 450mm and 1000 mm.
