Ken Rockwell uses it on a lot of the pictures on his blogs. He gets great results.

Thanks

Does anyone use this software? Can you give me your thoughts on it?

Interesting! Adobe usually makes a point out of not saying when updates are coming or what will be in them. If you don't mind, how do you contact Adobe for that kind of information?

I called Adobe Tech support and the technician gave me two option to fix this issue: rollback to the previous version or re-installed profiles. I have too many profiles to go back and re-install each one so I went for the rollback.

After the 7.3 update there was an Adobe apology and additional update to 7.3.1 due to some mistakes with profiles. I think the update to the update fixed your issue.

If not, try positing your question on the Adobe sponsored Lightroom Classic user forum.

Thanks for your reply. When I updated to 7.3 my profiles were in color buy, then updated to 7.3.1 and this changed my profiles to B&W. Adobe said this problem will be fixed in ver 7.4 due out in June.

Since the update to ver 7.3, all of my x-rite camera profiles have turned into Black and White profiles and I can not get them back to color. Yes, they were all set up as color and now this update has changed to B&W. The only way to have them display in color is to roll back to ver 7.2. Not Happy!!

Wish it were that easy, but that’s not it.

It may be a space issue on your hard drive or your ligthroom cache needs to be increased. I would try running Disk Clean and see if this fixes the problem. Next in lightroom goto Preference->Performance-> camera raw cache setting.

Is it possible that your healing brush is larger than the view-able image? Try downsizing your brush size when the healing brush is active.

This happens a lot when I zoom-in to spot remove a freckle or mole on a person's face.

Sometimes when I zoom-in I lose the cursor. What can I do to see the cursor when zoomed in using the Spot Healing Brush Tool.

Thanks

Have you updated to the latest ver? I had that problem, but once I updated the problem went away.

I would recommend that you get a Speedlite in the 430EX Refurbished range. My experience with Yongnuo is that they are not reliable.

What the What! Three products: Photoshop CC, Lightroom CC, and Lightroom Classic CC. To make life easier they should have named Photoshop CC to Photoshop Classic. This way one would know that Lightroom CC is new.

I got it, too. And my Creative Cloud menubar item (Mac) showed there were updates available. So, I updated.

Any problems with doing the update, e.g., plug-ins not showing up or working?

You can cal Canon zoom lenses for two focal lengths (typically wide and zoom) on my 5D3. I believe that most recent Canon bodies (7D, 7D2, 5D4, etc.) that support MFA allow a wide and tele calibration on zooms. BTW, I assume that you've already checked to insure that your body supports MFA - not all cameras do.

Yes, I checked that my body (70D) would work with FoCal before I order it yesterday. I also downloaded the manual, quick start and target charts.

Thanks for your feedback!

As far as the target goes I just tape mine to a wall, then I set the camera/tripod up right next to the target and center the lens on the target before moving the tripod back to the proper distance.
I don't recall off the top of my head exactly what the multiplier is for calculating the proper distance but it is something like 20 times the focal length. You will find that info in the instructions. As far as fine tuning Nikon zooms, you can only use one adjustment per lens. I set up mine for the long end figuring (hoping) that deeper depth of field on the short end will work to my advantage. Steve Perry's "Secrets To The Nikon Auto focus System" gives a deeper explanation that would apply to fine tuning cameras other than Nikon when using FoCal.
