Love this image. I have never seen one. I'm guessing that it is not native to Texas.

No, it matters not one bit (to me, anyway). As much as I'd like a few more "new" lenses in my arsenal, I'd rather go with refurbished or used but well-cared for lenses to save the bucks. As for servicing, I have never, in 50 years of photography, needed a lens serviced. So "support" or availability of parts has never been an issue. I suspect that the older lenses are likely built better than the newer ones, anyway, and will probably last longer. I'm speaking about Nikon/Nikkor lenses and not the "third-party" brands, which ARE made better today than they have been in the past.

I would subscribe to a "Travel Section" if there was one. Quite often people ask questions regarding travel to a certain location and there will be a response that has information about something I did not know existed or was available. One such recent post by UTMike was about Dead Horse Point and the yurts that are available there for camping ( https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-711364-1.html ) which I was not aware of before reading his post.

Sure, people may still ask questions like this in the Main Photography section, and will probably continue to do so. But, a travel section could be worthwhile by having that info located in a section that is dedicated to travel.

Been a longtime subscriber to On1. However, I'm not renewing since LR and PS subscription has been all that I use for the past several years.

Driven past this location many times on Interstate 80. Brings back memories of the days of hunting Elk in Wyoming. Thanks for memories. Wonderful images.

Very sweet. On my third rescue now (two dogs, one cat over a period of 27 years), I know they absolutely appreciate the new lives they've been given. Their devotion is unparalleled (well, maybe not so much with my cat, but we're still in our first year together )

Nice photo! Any idea what kind of ungulates those are?

I believe that those are Red Deer. Not certain, however. The Rocky Mountain Elk are off springs of these.

Since you will be using crop sensor cameras, I would recommend at least 24mm at the wide end and 300mm at the telephoto. In these parks you will have a chance at elk and mule deer.
