We took a little road trip yesterday to Lake City, over Cinnamon Pass to Silverton Colorado.
The colors are popping!

Love the yellow trees especially.
all nice, really like #8 and #9 beautiful light on those
You timed it great and made the most of it, too.
If you listen closely you can hear the Aspen “quaking.”🙄
It's hard to beat the San Juan Mountains any time, but early Fall is Magic!!!
Really nicely done!!

I was there just yesterday. It is probably going to be gone tomorrow. It is going to be snowing at 10,000 to 11,000 feet tonight. I have been in Colorado for fifty years and I think the Lake City area this year has had the best aspen color in all those fifty years. Color yesterday, mostly gone tonight.
Excellent fall color, Beth!

Also, you got great morning lighting for North Clear Creek Falls. And Windy Point lookout gave one nearly a 360° view of 360° of aspen (I believe #3 was from Windy Point area). Since it is a 5 and 1/2 hour drive from home to Lake City, and I came in from the north, most of my shots ended up being very cloudy. I have some of the same shots, but you have the tip of my "hat" for the great morning lighting for your shots. Such is life. Still I have no regrets; I got to see something extremely spectacular and have some photos of it too.
These are stunning; I particularly like the first. The San Juans are such a beautiful range. Thank you.
