See the Lightroom Queen's website, this is a well-versed topic. Also for quick and non-judgemental help see the Lightroom help Facebook group. Outstanding!
We belonged to Longwood Gardens for years; relocated to Salt Lake City last year, and for a number of reasons, are relocating back to the West Chester, PA area later this summer. Can't wait to rejoin Longwood- we miss it terribly! There's nothing out here to compare.
Go to a page called LightRoom Help Group. Join the group and ask away. There are very talented people there. I have had issues with LR and have gotten my problems resolved.
This is a Facebook group. VERY helpful, non-judgemental.
I bought a K-100D used back in 2010 and it was my first DSLR. Wonderful color and easy to use. Eventually I sold it and moved to K-x, now K-50 I'd make sure condition is good and shutter count is reasonable. You may want to visit pentaxforums.com and there's lots of info. Many still use this camera.
Several years ago I sent Costco files for a 12 page (one for each month) calendar. I ran into a similar problem with sizing and the calendar pages were cropped such that they were unusable due to my error. Their customer service person refunded my cost!
I had issues updating CC as well. The solution, via Adobe's tech support, was to turn off both anti virus and firewall applications during the updates.
I ordered mine about 7 months ago with a similar deal- $250 rebate. Printer is awesome and rebate AMEX card came several weeks later. Also included was 13x19 paper as a bonus. Be aware that the box is very heavy, and I recommend two people to move it.
Thanks to Adobe Live Chat, LR CC update was successful- turns out I had to disable both firewall and anti-virus apps. Odd that PS didn't require that. Anyway, hope this may be helpful to others!
