2016 "Falconer Dodici", 600 c.i. (9.8L) V-12, 640 HP, 6-spd Auto, aluminum roadster by Randy Grubb. The design takes inspiration from the streamlined 1937 Delahaye Type 145 but amplifies the huge curves even further.

Taken at the Bay Harbor Vintage Car & Boat Show in Bay Harbor, Michigan.

It's Doc's birthday!! He was 87 when he performed this classic jazz composition (written by Dizzy Gillespie) in 2015. God bless him, he's now 95!! Here he is performing with the North Texas State Jazz Band.

note: North Texas State was and still is a mecca for jazz.
Enjoy,

I took shots of glass art at the Janis Charach gallery last week. There were several fanciful fish sculptures made of glass that I knew I could do something with.

I put my shots of them together in a composition and optimized them for color, etc. I used some of my shots of mountains and fungi closeups for the background. Finally I added some Photoshop wisps and layers of painted water to finish it off.

Whimsical or garish?

I just heard a duet he did with Taj Mahal not long ago and found this one when I went looking around for something of more recent vintage as he is my age. This was the first time I had seen a bouzouki played and he does a wonderful job with it (maybe try a slide?). It's of Greek origin but strikes me as maybe a cross between a guitar, mandolin, and banjo. That makes me wonder why I've never seen it used more in bluegrass? Anyway, thanks for the link:
