Having thought about this a bit and given your needs, it is one tough choice!
There are advantages to each. From pixel density to low light performance. Wildlife and street have very different demands. I think, given the direction you are going, and if cost is an issue, the 6D is the choice. If cost is not an issue, go with the 5. But you will be happy with the switch either way.
Do you like to post process or do you avoid it? that is another issue.

Bad comparison. Good bread, very good brad is not sliced!

Well, not until you are ready to toast it! But then, the right thickness is everything! You know, just like knowing what you want to achieve with an image is everything before you push the release!

I have an opportunity to upgrade my camera from a 7D purchased in 2010. I am looking at the 5D mark 4 or 6D mark 2. I focus mostly on nature photography and now getting more interested in street photography. I’ve been reading some reviews but would like to hear what other canon users think, (apart from the price difference)

Thanks

The move to street screams FF. So good choices.

There was another important one that George Mitchell taught me when I first started taking photos... take your time and do it right, speed will come with practice.

Which, oddly, I learned from a pianist. A pianist practices the physical movements required by a piece over and over and over again until they do not have to think about the physical movements. Then they can concentrate on the really important stuff. This is why changing camera systems can be so hard. Once your hands know where all the buttons are and what they do, working the instrument to get your result becomes automatic. Switching to a whole different layout can be devastating.

Thanks for mini-tutorial on the use of all capital letters and how they hamper readability.

And yet "HOLLYWOOD" works just fine!

Sad that something that was intended in good will ends up like this. I visit the UHH for a very short time each day and try to provide some helpful suggestions where I can. I try to be polite and helpful. I do not leave one line comments. I even said up front what the intent of my writing was, an attempt to help the OP. If it is not helpful or inaccurate then move on to the next topic. If my attempt for clarity does not comport to what you think modern writing styles might be, I am sorry. You certainly are an experienced photographer and have many great ideas and advice. But I gotta say, your comments as a moderator like this (and others) are starting to make me reconsider UHH as a forum.

Your efforts are appreciated, however, all caps did not actually achieve your ends while using the tags (as CHG_CANON suggested) very well might have. I think everyone on this has good intentions. I also found the all caps hard to read. For an explanation please see:

"When we read, we don’t actually look at every letter in a sentence, but actually the shapes of the words. When text is in All Caps, the height of every letter is identical making every word an even rectangular shape, forcing us to read letter-by-letter, reducing our reading speed. Take a look at the shapes made by the two words below.

SQUARE Square

The shape of an ALL CAPS word compared to the shape of a Sentence Case word"

They put all their resources into developing their own Covid-19 vaccine. Their chances for success in either development are basically equal. 😊

OK, maybe they have a slightly better shot at a vaccine, but I get your point!

But if you tried one, if you really gave it a chance, you would clearly see how it is so superior in so many ways. Especially on a hot summer day, when it is soooooooo refreshing...

So I should move to San Diego?!?!?

AAAHHHH...but you've stumbled on something of an example here. I've learned that BLTs are now considered completely passe by "those who really matter." IF you're not eating BLTAs, you are completely out of the loop. It's a completely new idea that absolutely blows away the old, outmoded choice. The addition of avocado represents a completely new food 'technology' that renders the old BLT completely obsolete and unsuitable for consumption, at least in public.

NOT MORE AVOCADO!!!!

By the way "avocado" is the funniest fruit name. It is just funny. Saying it makes me laugh!

A-VO-CA-DO!!!! LOL

For me, bracketing is only useful for non-moving subjects. If you use bracketing to shoot people, for example, what are the chances that the photo with the best expression will also be the one with the best exposure?

Depends on how good you are in post.
Have you heard of "layers"?? Or are you just an "adjust a little" in post type?

Is mirrorless better than sliced bread?

Depends on what you want.

If you want a BLT, nothing beats a well toasted sliced bread.

If you want a photo, ......

The bottom line is; if you want professional results, do what the professionals do.
There are no shortcuts.
There is just no way to get out of the camera results that will compare to what a pro can do with carefully considered in camera choices knowing they will adjust them in post to pull up the most that can be had.
IT
JUST
CANNOT
BE
DONE.

PERIOD.

If they saw a profit motive they would.

Just like Tesla makes electric cars, commercial trucks, solar roofing, whole-house batteries, their own high-speed satellite internet service, spaceships and products and services to support these main product groups. An even better example is Amazon - which does grocery, delivery systems, entertainment media, cloud storage and other web services, all sorts of product for sale, aggregator platform for a multitude of smaller vendors, Amazon Marketplace for selling previously owned goods, video and audio streaming/downloading, publishing, charity fund management, retail stores, home services like plumbing, electrical, AV installation, lawn services - just to mention a few of their offerings. All it takes is a visionary's point of view. But most Luddites - who vehemently resist any attempts to change the status quo and future proof companies through diversification, lack that capacity to think that way, fearing the risk of their tiny heads exploding from just the thought of progress/change.

But basically Amazon is doing delivery. PERIOD. They will deliver anything. Tesla will do battery operated anything! PERIOD. That is their focus. Adobe does software. PERIOD. They have no interest in hardware.
